Real Madrid star, Rodrygo has named Napoli midfielder Kevin De Bruyne as the best player he has ever played against.

Rodrygo played against De Bruyne in the Champions League when the Belgian was at Manchester City.

However, Rodrygo won’t have the chance to compete against him again in the upcoming Champions League Round of 16 clash, as De Bruyne is now playing for Napoli and not Man City.

Historically, Real Madrid and Man City have squared off 16 times in the Champions League, with Madrid leading the series 6-5.

Their latest match occurred last December, where City triumphed 2-1 at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Speaking to Caze TV (via Madrid Universal), Rodrygo said, “The best player I have come up against? Kevin De Bruyne.

“His technical level, his movements, his passes. He’s the best I have ever faced.”

Maduka Okoye will look to record his 10th clean sheet of the season when Udinese host Parma at the Bluenergy Stadium.

Okoye has shut out opposition attackers in Udinese’s last three league matches.

It was the first time the goalkeeper has kept three consecutive clean sheets in his career.

Overall, he has amassed nine clean sheets in 24 league matches this season.

Another clean sheet against Parma will also see Okoye equal the personal best he achieved during the 2020/21 season with Sparta Rotterdam.

Former Arsenal player, Bacary Sagna is confident Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe will win the Ballon d’Or this year.

Sagna hailed the individual performance of his countryman, saying that the only thing that could prevent him from doing well is a bad performance at the FIFA World Cup.

Sagna told Goal that he believes Mbappe will win the Ballon d’Or this year.

He doesn’t think any other player is as good as the Frenchman has been this season, and he believes that the good form will keep going into the World Cup next summer.

He said, “He will win it. I believe this is the right time for him to win it this year. I believe the World Cup will be a great event with the French national team participating.

“I believe he will do well in the Champions League with Real Madrid. On a personal level, he is already in a good position because he is doing well and is in first place.

“Unless he has a really bad World Cup, which I don’t think will happen, I believe he will win the Ballon d’Or this year.”

Mbappe has been playing very well this season, scoring 38 goals for his club and country.

He has scored 11 goals in the UEFA Champions League this season and is just one goal away from surpassing Cristiano Ronaldo’s record for the most goals in the group stage.
