Controversial streamer Cater Efe has taken a swipe at singer Wizkid’s official DJ, DJ Tunez.

During a recent livestream, Cater Efe warned fans against comparing him with DJ Tunez. He also alleged that the disc jockey is unhygienic.

“You guys should never compare DJ Tunez, who puts on dirty boxers, to me again,” he fumed.

Cater Efe has been involved in a one-sided feud with Wizkid and his team after accusing them of failing to recognise or appreciate him when he released a tribute song titled “Machala” for Wizkid years ago.

He said Wizkid’s rival, Davido, was instead the one who later embraced and supported him financially. He credited Davido with “changing” his life.

Grammy-winning rapper Durk Devontay Banks, popularly known as Lil Durk, has been acquitted of all charges in a federal murder-for-hire case over a 2022 shooting in Los Angeles that left the cousin of rival rapper Quando Rondo dead.

A Los Angeles jury found the rapper not guilty of all five federal felony counts after three days of deliberations.

Lil Durk was accused of orchestrating a revenge plot targeting Tyquian Bowman, an Atlanta rapper known professionally as Quando Rondo, following the 2020 killing of Banks’ close friend, Dayvon “King Von” Bennett.

Federal prosecutors alleged that he planned, ordered and financed the operation to kill Bowman.

However, the alleged plot resulted in the death of Bowman’s cousin, 24-year-old Saviay’a Robinson, who was shot during a daytime ambush on August 19, 2022, in Los Angeles.

Durk’s defence team maintained that he had no involvement in the alleged scheme. His lawyers argued that his former personal assistant, Kavon Grant, was responsible for setting up the intended killing.

He was arrested in 2024 and pleaded not guilty to charges including conspiracy, stalking using a dangerous weapon, stalking resulting in death and two murder-for-hire-related counts.

His co-defendants, Deandre Dontrell Wilson and David Brian Lindsey, were convicted of stalking and conspiracy to commit stalking but were acquitted of the other charges.

Following the verdict, supporters cheered outside the Los Angeles courthouse.

Defence lawyer Drew Findling said Banks was “thankful” following the acquittal.

The 33-year-old rapper has had seven albums reach the top five of the US Billboard chart since 2019 and has collaborated with artists including Drake and J. Cole on hit singles.

Despite Friday’s acquittal, Banks remains in custody pending a separate federal trial scheduled for next month over racketeering, murder and firearms charges.

If convicted on all the charges in the second case, he could face life imprisonment.

US rapper Lil Durk acquitted in murder-for-hire trial

American actress and singer Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, known professionally as Lady Gaga, has reportedly welcomed her first child with fiancé Michael Polansky.

According to Page Six, the couple were spotted in Northern California with Lady Gaga holding their newborn.

The “Bad Romance” singer began dating Polansky in 2020 and became engaged to the entrepreneur in 2024.

Details about the baby, including the name, gender and date of birth, have not been disclosed.

Gaga has previously spoken about her desire to become a mother. In a YouTube video from December 2019, she discussed her 10-year plan and said she hoped “babies” would be part of her future.

“I want to do more movies, I want to have babies,” she said at the time.

Nigerian streamer Carter Efe has accused VeryDarkMan, VDM, of wanting to “spoil Igbo people’s business” over his move to China to source iPhone 18 devices.

Carter Efe made the remark during his livestream on Friday while reacting to VDM’s plan to buy the newly released iPhone 18 directly from China for Nigerians.

“First of all VDM go do wetin them go take gather am. VDM go do wetin go take make Igbo people gather am kill am for China,” Carter Efe said.

He also questioned VDM’s decision to venture into phone sales, saying the social commentator was not previously known for selling phones.

“VDM no dey sell phone o but enter China, he wan go buy phone dey sell. He wan spoil people business,” he said.

Carter Efe further questioned VDM over the move, saying, “VDM, I never see that kind person before, you be witch?”

VDM had earlier shared a video from an Apple Store in China after the launch of the iPhone 18, saying he was ready to help Nigerians buy the devices directly rather than pay inflated prices from local vendors.

Nigerian dancer Poco Lee has reportedly been released in the United Kingdom after the woman who took him to court allegedly dropped the case, according to social media influencer Peller.

Peller made the claim during a livestream after he was asked whether Poco Lee had been released.

“Yes o guys, Poco Lee is out. They talk say that girl that sue Poco Lee say the girl e run away from the case, say e leave the case. God go bless the girl, na God go bless am, is a good person,” Peller said.

He further claimed that the woman’s withdrawal from the case led to Poco Lee’s release.

“The girl that make Poco Lee go to prison, the girl comot the case, UK lawyer con leave Poco Lee,” he added.

DAILY POST recalls that Poco Lee was previously reported to be on remand in a UK prison, with a plea hearing scheduled for September.

The report followed allegations of sexual offences against the dancer.

However, Peller’s claim that the complainant withdrew the case and that this led to Poco Lee’s release has not been independently confirmed by the UK court or prosecution authorities.

Nollywood actress Stephanie Promise Ikedieze, wife of actor Chinedu Ikedieze, popularly known as Aki, has revealed how her husband and his longtime screen partner, Osita Iheme, known as Pawpaw, shared their household belongings after they stopped living together.

Stephanie made the revelation in a video shared online on September 10, recalling that Aki and Pawpaw had lived under the same roof before they eventually went their separate ways.

She said the two friends divided their belongings between themselves, with Aki taking some items while Pawpaw took others.

Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has taken a swipe at people claiming she is suffering from arthritis after a video of her dancing surfaced online.

Edochie questioned how her critics could link her movements and active lifestyle to the condition, saying she remains strong, energetic and active.

In a post on her Instagram page, the actress asked if those spreading the claim could see their mothers being as active as she is.

“Can their mothers ever be as strong, active, energetic, and flexible as I am? Impossible!” she wrote.

Edochie said she had been moving around, travelling and standing for hours while promoting her movie.

She also accused her critics of being jealous because she is currently trending and her name is receiving attention.

“Your empty head could only find arthritis to talk about,” she added.

The actress further criticised people who bully others on social media, saying such attacks can push people into depression.

She said she would not allow her critics to stop her from using social media or sharing updates with her followers.

Famous music star Adekunle Gold has said Nigeria is not a true democratic nation.

Speaking in a recent episode of the One54 Podcast, Adekunle explained that he believed his colleague, Davido, appealed to United States President Donald Trump to pay close attention to the recently held Osun State governorship election because Nigeria does not practise true democracy.

The ‘Orente’ crooner emphasised that Nigeria is not operating like a democratic country.

Adekunle Gold said he hoped the current administration of President Bola Tinubu would do better than the previous one in terms of good governance and upholding democratic values.

“I think Davido sent that message to Donald Trump because we are not truly practising democracy in Nigeria. We are not doing what a democratic society should do. I just hope this administration does better than the previous one,” he said.

The newly evicted Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate, Gerard, has revealed why he was depressed while on the show.

He made the revelation while discussing his stay in the house.

Sharing his experience in an interview with DAILY POST, Gerard explained that he was depressed because he thought he would be evicted in the third week of the show.

He explained that the development also made him end his relationship with Kamsy because he did not want to be remembered as someone who went to the Big Brother house because of a woman.

Gerard said, “I thought I would be out in week three. That was why I was so depressed, and I ended things with Kamsy because, for me, I was just thinking that, omo, they are just going to know me outside as this guy that was just following woman, and then I will go home.

“With all the stress that I went through before getting into the house, all I was going to be remembered for is that guy with Kamsy.”

DAILY POST reports that Gerard ended his romantic affair with Kamsy after she danced intimately with Chimsom and sat on his shoulder during a pool party.

Gerard, who was jealous after seeing the duo together, said the incident was disrespectful and labelled Kamsy a manipulator.
