Nigerian music star, Zlatan Ibile has tied the knot with his partner, Davita Lamai in a white wedding ceremony in Morocco.

The white wedding event was held on November 4, 2026, in Marrakech, Morocco.

The star-studded event was attended by Davido, Chioma Adeleke, Tunde Perry, Soso Sobereko, Pretty Mike and Carter Efe.

The ceremony came about two weeks after the couple’s grand traditional wedding celebration in Lagos State on October 24.

DAILY POST reports that the couple who have been together for a long time, welcomed their first child in 2020 and second child in 2024.

Nollywood filmmaker and director, Kunle Afod, has claimed that actors love their work more than their wives.

He made the claim while responding to questions on the challenges that actors face in managing their careers and marriage.

This came a few months after the actor’s separation from his wife, Desola Afod.

Speaking on Thursday in an interview with Kasnasty Sugar on YouTube, Kunle Afod, who disclosed that his love for his job superseded the affection for his wife or anyone else, stated that genuine actors would consider letting go of their partners for their work.

Emphasising his love for art, the actor who revealed that he sometimes forgot to speak with his children for six months, narrated how he turned down an opportunity to relocate abroad because of his dedication to art.

While insisting that nobody can hinder him from his career, Kunle Afod said, “I was born for this and I will die for it.

“What we actors love most is our work not our wife. We love the job we do more than anything else. If you’re a creative person, you will love art more than any other thing.

“That’s why it’s not easy for our partners to cope because they see art as their rival. It’s only when you don’t love acting that you will consider leaving it for your wife or husband but if you truly love the job, you will prefer to let go of anybody for it.

“Sometimes I don’t call my kids in six months. Nobody can hinder me. I was born for this and I will die for it. I had the opportunity to relocate abroad so many years ago but I didn’t embrace it because of this same job.”

Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has opened up about why he doesn’t like rapping in English.

Speaking in a recent episode of The Fuse, Sarkodie disclosed that he always feels inferior whenever he raps in English.

He explained that he started rapping in English but switched to his native Twi because he feels superior rapping in his local dialect.

“Rapping in Twi is my superpower. I express myself way better in my mother’s tongue. The emotions I want to put out come out best when I rap in my native language.

“I started rapping in English but felt like I was beneath someone when I rap in English. But when I rap in Twi, I feel equal to any other rapper in the world,” he explained.

Controversial Nigerian self-proclaimed relationship expert Blessing CEO has announced her breakup with businessman IVD, saying she walked away because she could no longer remain in a relationship she feared could put her life at risk.

Blessing announced this in a video while responding to questions from fans about whether she was still dating IVD.

She said she had listened to people who repeatedly advised her to leave the businessman, adding that she had decided to rebuild her life after ending the relationship.

“Trust me, I have left him. Let me pick up the pieces of my life,” she said.

Describing herself as single, Blessing also invited interested men to approach her through her direct messages, but warned that they must have money.

“Those of you who want to apply, please feel free to apply in my DM, please, and make sure you have money,” she said.

She further declared that she was no longer willing to remain in a relationship that could threaten her life.

“I no fit dey relationship wey go take my life,” she added.

Nene Aderibigbe, mother of Nigerian singer Ayra Starr, has criticised the influence of social media on Gen Z, claiming that many young people now depend on other people’s opinions instead of thinking for themselves.

Aderibigbe said she worries about the younger generation because of their heavy dependence on phones and their inability to recognise their own talents.

Speaking about the issue, she said: “Social media has just turned a lot of things upside down. They don’t have their own thinking again; it is only people’s thinking they use now.”

She also argued that many members of Gen Z are gifted but fail to recognise their abilities because of the influence of social media.

Aderibigbe advised young people to spend at least two to three hours away from their phones, reflect on their lives and practise meditation.

She said: “Take your time, drop your phone down for two, three hours, do mental note, put your head down, take a mental note or meditate.”

Nigerian streamer Carter Efe has threatened social media activist VeryDarkMan, VDM, giving him two hours to prepare petitions against him across all 36 states while making threats against his mother.

Carter Efe made the threat in a video, where he repeatedly cursed VeryDarkMan and his mother, warning the activist against trying to bring him down.

He said: “VeryDarkMan, if you no bring me down, your mama go die. Anything wey your mama dey find for this life, e no go see am. I swear to God who made me.”

He also threatened the activist’s mother, saying: “If care is not taken, them go send boys make them go fu*k your mama.”

Carter Efe further gave VeryDarkMan two hours to write petitions across the 36 states, daring him to use the documents against him.

“I give you two hours, write every petition for the full 36 states. If I no use your petition paper do suya, call me bastard,” he said.

Social media activist, VeryDarkMan, VDM, has mocked singer Davido over his reaction to Zlatan’s song, declaring that he would rather masturbate than beg a woman for sex.

VeryDarkMan reacted after a video showed Davido vibing to Zlatan’s song, which contained a reference to the activist and his comments about masturbation.

In a video shared on his social media page, VeryDarkMan posted a clip of Davido appearing to cry and kneel, then mimicked the singer by going down on his knees.

He said, “I no be David Adeleke wey dey beg woman. I will rather masturbate than make I kneel down dey beg woman.”

He also dismissed the attention surrounding his comments about masturbation, saying it was something he had openly discussed.

“I told you people I masturbate, I create awareness on masturbation, it’s not a new thing. What did you discover? Everything you know about me, I told you,” he said.

Turning to Zlatan, VeryDarkMan warned that he was ready to respond to the rapper.

“Zlatan, I dey come now. You will learn the hard way,” he added.

Nigerian singer Cynthia Morgan has warned that the choice Nigerians make in the 2027 general elections could determine whether they will live long or not, urging voters to take the country’s future seriously.

In a post on her Instagram page, the singer said the next election would have serious consequences for the country’s stability and the safety of its citizens.

She also prayed that God would punish those she accused of playing with Nigeria’s stability.

Morgan wrote: “Whoever you vote for next year in the general elections is going to determine if you’re going to live long.

“I am praying to God to remember all your sins and punish anyone playing with the stability of this country.”

Former Big Brother Naija housemate and medical doctor, Tjay has warned Nigerians about the possible health risks of eating shawa fish, claiming that the popular dried fish may contain mould, cancer-linked chemicals and heavy metals.

In a video shared online, Tjay said the whitish substance found on the fish was mould and claimed that it could also contain polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, which he described as carcinogenic.

He warned that soaking the fish does not necessarily remove the substances, despite its popularity as an ingredient in Nigerian meals.

“Guys, see this shawa, this dry fish is one of the most toxic fishes that we eat in the country,” he said.

Tjay advised consumers to soak the fish for at least one hour before removing the head and skin, claiming that about 50 per cent of the toxins were concentrated in the head.

He also urged Nigerians to choose smaller-sized shawa fish, claiming that the tiny ones were less toxic.

“The tiny ones are less toxic,” he added.

Financial expert and social media personality, Gehgeh, has cautioned Carter Efe against fighting VeryDarkMan on behalf of Davido and Zlatan, describing the move as foolish and warning him not to put himself in trouble over other people’s disagreements.

Gehgeh gave the warning while reacting to reports that Carter Efe had been petitioned over his remarks about VeryDarkMan’s mother and threats against the social media critic.

Carter Efe had threatened to continue attacking VeryDarkMan because of his criticism of Davido and Zlatan.

In his comment, he said: “VeryDarkMan wey them don already swear for, person wey go soon die this week, as long as he Dey insult my helpers Zlatan and Davido, I go Dey fight you.”

Reacting, Gehgeh described Carter Efe’s decision as a serious mistake, arguing that people should not put themselves in conflict with others simply because they want to defend friends who have more power and influence.

“The worst mistake you fit make for this life na to help your friends fight their enemies, especially when those your friends get power and influence pass you,” he said.

He advised Carter Efe to support Zlatan by promoting his fashion brand, buying his clothes and wearing them publicly rather than attacking people who criticise the singer.

Gehgeh also argued that Davido had enough money, connections and influence to deal with his disagreement with VeryDarkMan without needing Carter Efe to intervene.

He pointed out that despite VeryDarkMan’s criticism of Davido and members of the Adeleke family, none of the singer’s relatives had publicly joined the dispute.

Gehgeh further disclosed that Davido had supported him when he launched his university, saying the singer was the first major artiste to recognise the institution when it was trending.

He said Davido’s recognition helped the university gain momentum and visibility, adding that he later appreciated the singer by making a record celebrating his album and encouraging people to stream it.
