Singer and half of the defunct P-Square duo, Paul Okoye, aka Rudeboy, has explained that transitioning into a solo artist after the group’s split wasn’t difficult for him.

Speaking in a recent interview with Lun Lifestyle TV, Rudeboy said that as a solo artist, he is still doing what he was doing at P-Square, claiming that he was the songwriter, producer and singer of the group.

Paul said being a solo artist is even less stressful for him.

He said, “Transitioning into a solo artist was less stressful for me. Because it was the same me that was doing everything in the group, with due respect.

“I am the producer, writer, and singer. So, moving as a group, it is still the same thing. As I said, being a solo artist is less stressful. Inasmuch as I have a team, nobody is going to question me. I have more creative control. It is easy for me.”

DAILY POST reports that P-Square has broken up twice: first in 2017 (after initial tensions in 2016), and most recently in 2024 after a 2021 reunion.

Afrobeats superstar, Davido’s aide, Damilare Aladegbola, popularly known as Dre, has offered a cash reward to whoever returns his phone, which he claims went missing during rapper Zlatan Ibile’s wedding ceremony.

Dre made the appeal in a post on his Instagram page on Monday, pleading with the person who allegedly took the device to return it in exchange for money.

“If na u carry my phone for Zlatan wedding, abeg return am, I go give you money please,” he wrote.

The aide also expressed frustration over what he suggested was a method being used to take phones at social gatherings.

He said he would no longer tolerate waiters asking whether guests had finished eating so they could clear their plates, alleging that the practice could provide an opportunity for phones left on tables to be taken.

“From now on, if I go any party or dey any party and any stupid waitress tell me say are you done eating so I can pack your plate, na swear I go swear for you cause na pattern wey una dey use pack phone for table be that now,” he added.

However, Dre did not identify anyone suspected of taking his phone or provide further details about how the device went missing.

Veteran Nollywood actor, Chiwetalu Agu, has warned against comparing lives with others, saying people often desire what others have without knowing the struggles behind their wealth, fame or relationships.

In a post, Agu listed what he described as life’s ironies, from the poor seeking money while the rich want peace to the famous longing for privacy while unknown people crave fame.

“The poor wants money, while the rich want peace. The young want to grow up, while the old wish they could be young again. Those who have little want more, while those who have much, sometimes wish they needed less,” he wrote.

“The married long for freedom, while the single long for love. The unknown want fame, while the famous longs for privacy. The unemployed wants to work, while the employed wish they have fewer responsibilities. The broken wants to heal, while those who are hurting longs for happiness,” he added.

Agu urged people to appreciate what they have rather than focus on what they lack.

“The truth is you can’t have it all, be happy with what you have and never take anything for granted,” he said.

He cautioned against judging one’s life by another person’s possessions or public image, saying people may be unaware of the private struggles others face.

“The grass is always greener on the other side until you discover what it takes to keep it green, someone may have the money you desire but lack the peace you enjoy,” Agu wrote.

He also stated: “A healthy person has a thousand wishes but a sick person has only one.”

The actor encouraged people to appreciate their own journeys instead of measuring their lives against others.

DAILY POST reports that Zlatan married his partner, Davita, in a star-studded ceremony in Lagos State.

Speaking in a recent interview with Lun Lifestyle TV, Rudeboy argued that social media, despite all its benefits, has shattered the illusion of artistes being mysterious and godlike.

This he said has reduced the buzz artistes previously enjoyed whenever their fans got the opportunity to see them whether physically or visually.

The ‘Reason With Me’ crooner explained that because artistes are no longer mysterious, fans are no longer eager to watch them in music videos.

He claimed that shooting music videos is now a waste of money.

Rudeboy said, “Music videos somehow now, because of this generation, is a waste of money. I am sorry to say this. But do you remember us [P-Square] before? You don’t see us anywhere. You just watch music videos, you see us and that’s it, or we come to your country, you see us.

“The reason you don’t see people faint for artistes anymore is because they see them on TikTok every day dancing and promoting your music. If Michael Jackson was alive now and doing promotional content on social media, nobody would see him and faint.

“Unfortunately, it’s too late for us to bring back the era of artistes being mystiques. How can you advise an artiste to post every day? How? Post what? You don’t need to.

“Social media brought positive change to the industry but it also led to ‘see-finish.’ Artistes are now too exposed. Fans see how they eat, cry. Before when artistes go to club, they stay in restricted VIP areas, but now when they are clubbing, everyone is filming.”

Controversial Nigerian self-acclaimed relationship expert Blessing CEO has denied allegations that she is a drug addict, insisting that she does not smoke, drink alcohol or attend parties.

Blessing made the statement during a video call with actress Doris Ogala after her release from detention.

Ogala shared a video of their conversation on Instagram.

During the call, Ogala told Blessing that claims about her alleged drug use had circulated online while she was in detention, with some people reportedly saying she needed rehabilitation and should not be given money.

Responding to the claims, Blessing said: “Yes, mama, I don’t smoke, I don’t drink and I don’t even party.”

She also accused social media users of making assumptions about her without knowing her personally.

“Most times the internet just have a way of enjoying themselves, a lot of people don’t even know me in person,” she said.

Blessing CEO, a controversial Nigerian self-acclaimed relationship expert, has finally been released from prison.

She regained her freedom on Saturday, October 24, 2026, after spending four months in prison.

Actress Doris Ogala announced the news in a post on Instagram.

Sharing a video conversation, Doris wrote, “Blessing CEO is finally out, thank you Jesus. Awwwww ajjeeeyyyy.”

This came after the self-acclaimed therapist lost her second son to an asthma attack while in prison.

DAILY POST reports that Blessing CEO, who has been in Kirikiri prison since June, was arraigned for alleged N36 million property fraud and granted N10 million bail on June 9, 2026.

She was re-arraigned before the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos on June 10, 2026, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, over a N13 million cancer fraud and falsification of cancer results.

In July, she was granted another N20 million bail in a N69.15 million tenancy fraud.

While alleging that some of them are not spiritually grounded, he noted that faith without spiritual works or fortification is not enough.

He backed up his claim by citing how Jesus made mud from clay to heal a blind man despite having power to make declarations.

Alayo further advised them to stop going for any ministration or programs that their spirits are not in support of.

“It’s very unusual for me to come out and speak but I keep receiving a lot of calls. Different people have been calling me for all kinds of conversations. Even though the incident really shakes me because I was supposed to have a show together with the deceased next week.

“Both of us still have pending discussions but the will of God has been done and nobody can question him. May God be with his family and kids. To all the people calling me in the industry that they are terrified with what is happening in our midst, firstly we are inconveniencing ourselves because we want to satisfy everyone.

“It’s better to offend people than offend yourself. It’s impossible to satisfy or please everyone. If your spirit is against you going for any ministration please don’t go. Don’t do anything that your spirit is not in support of just because you don’t want to offend someone. If you are invited somewhere and your spirit kicks against the job, just charge them with millions they can’t afford.
