Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed that he is no longer passionate about going into politics, stressing that observation about other celebrities who joined politics was making him weigh his political ambition.

Speaking in a recent livestream on Twitch with streamer Davrel, the singer claimed that most celebrities who transitioned from entertainment to politics haven’t been successful.

Davido explained that he was previously interested in partisan politics, but his legacy in the entertainment industry and the reality on ground have made him skeptic.

“Before, I wanted to go into politics but honestly, now, I see it two ways. All my years of goodwill, my name and my career, all the hard work and the fan base we have built, it is tricky because the way people look at things; the superstars that have gone into politics, the transition hasn’t really been successful,” he said.

“I feel like if you are a politician, you are a politician. It is like it is their business,” Davido added.

Popular Nigerian social media critic, VeryDarkMan, has praised officers of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Police Command for helping a mentally unstable woman deliver a baby in Kwali Area Council.

Narrating the incident via his instagram handle on VeryDarkMan said “it happened in the early hours of April 3, 2026, during a routine surveillance operation by officers of the Rapid Response Squad, RRS, deployed across the FCT due to heightened security concerns ahead of the Easter celebrations.”

According to him, “at about 12:20 a.m., the officers who were on patrol around Kwaita village in Kwali Area Council suddenly heard loud cries coming from the roadside.”

The officers immediately moved towards the direction of the cries and discovered a mentally unstable woman who had just gone into labour.

Confirming the incident, the FCT Police Command said the officers received information about the woman at about 12:30 a.m., prompting swift action from the command.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, said the Officer-in-Charge of the Gender Unit at Kwali Division quickly mobilised with her team to the location after receiving the report.

The officers assisted the woman and ensured she safely delivered the baby.

Reacting to the development, VeryDarkMan applauded the officers for their humanity and pledged to sponsor the child’s education from primary school through university.

Blessing CEO, a controversial self-acclaimed relationship expert, has addressed recent rumors surrounding her health and fundraising efforts, clarifying details about her cancer diagnosis and responding to public speculation.

In an exclusive interview with the popular online show Young and Healthy Bros, Egungun, Blessing explained that miscommunication had fueled some of the confusion around her condition.

“I don’t have stage 4 cancer. That was a miscommunication,” she said.

“I just received my biopsy results. Initially, the lump was thought to be non-cancerous, but later tests revealed it was cancerous. I haven’t started chemotherapy yet, and I’m still awaiting further tests to determine the exact stage.”

She also addressed questions about the fundraising for her treatment.

“The money raised is not hundreds of millions as some people think. It’s just 13 million naira,” she noted.

“I will not post my results online because it’s personal, and I don’t owe anyone an apology. I’m just trying to communicate what the doctors have told me.”

Blessing emphasized that her goal remains to explore all treatment options and ensure she makes informed decisions.

“I just want to be sure about what I am doing. I’m not a doctor; I’m only sharing the updates I receive from them,” she added.

The Performing Musicians Employers’ Association of Nigeria, PMAN, Federal Capital Territory Chapter, has said hotel owners, event planners, and other stakeholders with the country’s entertainment industry in Abuja must seek permission for live music bands or risk sanction.

The association’s acting governor, Michael Oyibo Kaycee, made this known during a press conference in Abuja on Friday.

He warned stakeholders in the entertainment sector in Abuja to always engage certified musicians.

According to him, the association would henceforth not tolerate exploitation, disrespect, or underpayment to musicians in the nation’s capital.

“You are required to obey industrial standards, engage certified musicians, and fill your obligations.

“Our task force is fully operational from today. The system has been taken for granted for too long. It is high time for everybody to understand the function of PMAN in FCT. Show planners, event planners are to take permission from the association.

He raised alarm over the sharp decline in television viewership, describing it as “extremely low” in today’s fast-evolving digital age.

“today, virtually everyone carries a television in their hands. A young boy in a remote area can gain global recognition simply through digital influence. This clearly shows that digital platforms are now the dominant force in content distribution,” he said.

He urged the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, to intervene in the plight of the association.

Veteran Nollywood actor, Taiwo Hassan, professionally known as Ogogo, has revealed why he won’t intervene in the recent fight between actress Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele.

Ogogo made this disclosure during an interview with Feel Right TV.

DAILY POST reports that Funke Akindele had on Sunday during actress Iyabo Ojo’s movie premiere snubbed Toyin Abraham.

The incident happened eight months after reconciliation of their years-long feud.

Refusing to speak on the incident during the interview, Ogogo disclosed that “women’s fights are too complicated to get involved in”.

While scolding the duo for not being sensible enough to appreciate what God has done for them in the entertainment industry, Ogogo noted that it is only an “unwise man that would interfere in women’s drama”.

“I don’t interfere in women’s disputes. Both of them are blessed by God. So, why are they fighting? When men have similar issues, they laugh over it and move on, but women will make a mountain out of a low hill with the same issues. So it’s difficult to interfere”, he stated.

Ogogo’s comment came a day after veteran actress, Saje, announced that she had reconciled them, and ordered them to take the drama off social media.

Singer, Omah Stanley Didia, popularly known as Omah Lay, has claimed that Afrobeats is declining, especially in Western countries.

Speaking at his Lagos Warehouse Session on Thursday night, Omah Lay said the massive reception Afrobeats received abroad a few years ago has began to dwindle.

“Overseas, Afrobeats is declining. It is facts. Our artistes are doing really great but the Afrobeats that you guys used to know in 2020-2024, are not the Afrobeats you know now anymore,” he said.

Omah Lay revealed that he has been studying his idols and looking for a means to revive the Nigerian music scene.

“I used to have a lot of money but I rushed things. I wish I was wise then. I was just buying things extravagantly, things I eventually had no need for,” he said.

“At this point, as I am getting new money, I have to think about every move I want to take. I was accommodating up to ten of my friends back then and we were all receiving female visitors. I bought three cars at once just so that my friends would go out with me in convoy. I was reckless,” he added.

Popular Nigerian rapper, Zlatan Ibile has revealed that his parents’ reaction to his sudden wealth wasn’t warm, at first, but suspicions.

Speaking in a recent episode of the YACN podcast, the Zanku crooner said after he gained prominence in 2019, he bought a house for his parents in a Lagos highbrow neighbourhood, Lekki, but they refused the gift because they were unsure of the source of his wealth, which appeared sudden to them.

The singer said his parents didn’t believe he acquired the expensive mansion with just musical earnings.

“When I blew up in 2019, I bought my first house in Lekki and decided to gift it to my parents. I called them on the phone and asked them to come and they were like, ‘A house? That’s not possible. Are you doing something else apart from music? How did you buy a house worth millions in the space of one year?’,” he recalled.

Zlatan said his parents’ suspicion made him feel bad because he was prioritising them and they were doubting him.

He said his parents requested for time to do a seven-day prayer to know whether they should come or not.

The rapper said he had to print his statement of account and present evidence of his music earnings before his parents accepted the house.

He urged parents to find out the source of their children’s wealth before accepting flamboyant gifts from them.

Popular Nigerian social media critic, VeryDarkMan, VDM, has issued a strong warning to human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore, vowing to take legal action if his image is used without permission.

In a video posted on his official Instagram page, VDM addressed Sowore directly, accusing him of not supporting him and cautioning him against repeating the actions that recently landed businessman Blord in legal trouble.

“Sowore, I know you never liked me. All these things wey you dey do online, I know. Sowore, I swear to God, if dem born you well, do the same thing wey Blord do.

“Go and use my picture on a billboard or use my picture to promote things without getting approval from me. You, Omoyele Sowore, I will send you to prison if dem born you well do wetin he do,” he said.

DAILY POST had earlier reported that Blord was remanded on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, over allegations of impersonating VeryDarkMan, forgery, false endorsement, breach of privacy, and identity theft, among other charges.

In a related development, Sowore reacted to the situation, stating that sending Blord to prison over what he described as an “innovative strategy” and the expertise of VeryDarkMan’s legal team should not be seen as a victory.
