Lagos-based socialite and entrepreneur, Emeka Okonkwo, widely known as E-Money, has honoured his pledge to reward comedian Carter Efe with N50 million following his victory over singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly called Portable.

The prize was announced after Carter Efe defeated Portable via unanimous decision at the Chaos in the Ring 4 event, which took place at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

E-Money confirmed the cash reward at the end of the event after being prompted by the Chief Executive Officer of Balmoral Group Promotions, Ezekiel Adamu.

“You know we put our money where our mouth is, and so congratulations Carter on your win. N50 million for you,” he said.

Adamu also commended the event, describing it as a successful and entertaining show that lived up to expectations.

“We promised Chaos in the Ring and we have delivered very entertaining fights tonight. There is more coming, thanks to everyone that made this a success and to the fighters for the great display,” he said.

The celebrity bout between Carter Efe and Portable served as the headline attraction of the night, following weeks of heated exchanges and public challenges between both entertainers.

Portable had earlier expressed confidence ahead of the fight, boasting that he was on course to secure a third boxing belt after previous exhibition wins over Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington.

However, in the ring, Carter Efe took control of proceedings, leveraging his height and reach advantage to outclass the singer over three rounds.

At the end of the contest, all three judges scored the bout 27–30 in favour of the comedian, crowning him the latest celebrity boxing winner.

Skitmaker and streamer Carter Efe has described his victory over singer Portable in celebrity boxing on Friday night as easy peasy.

DAILY POST reports that Carter Efe dethroned reigning champion Portable at the Chaos in the Ring 4 event held at the Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos, on Friday night, and walked home with a N50 million cash prize.

Speaking to the press after his victory, Carter Efe said he was feeling like an international boxing star, stressing that he outclassed Portable.

He boasted that he damaged Portable’s face and significantly weakened him before the second round.

“I am feeling like an international world star. My new name is Carter Mayweather. The fight was so easy. First round, I already damaged his face. Second round, he was shaking. Third round, he fainted,” he said.

Carter Efe won by unanimous decision. All three judges scored the bout 27-30 in his favour.

Popular Nigerian streamer, Carter Efe, has defeated controversial singer, Portable in a highly anticipated celebrity boxing match.

Carter Efe defeated Portable on Friday in a boxing match held at the Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos to win the N50 million prize.

The streamer won the fight after the third round.

Following his victory, Carter Efe is now holding the title of Nigeria’s “Celebrity Boxing King.”

Nollywood actress and producer Bimpe Akintunde has officially announced the end of her marriage with her husband, Ganiyu.

She made this known in a post via her Instagram handle on Friday.

The post reads: “Honest Announcement !!!!

The arraignment of Nigerian actress, Doris Ogala, at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, has been stalled due to her absence in court.

Ogala is facing a four-count charge bordering on publication of personal materials of the founder of Grace Nation Bible Ministry, Pastor Chris Okafor, cyberbullying and harassment, attempted extortion, and dissemination of inciting and false information to incriminate the cleric.

At the hearing on Thursday, Tolulope Mokuola, the prosecuting counsel, applied for a bench warrant to compel Ogala’s appearance, citing her failure to attend despite being served with a hearing notice.

Opposing the application, Temiloluwa Akindayini, the defence counsel, told the court that Ogala underwent surgery on Tuesday and is currently recuperating in Abia State.

Akindayini added that an affidavit deposing Ogala’s medical condition was filed before the court on April 22, 2026.

In response, the prosecutor faulted the defence for not serving the affidavit and for not notifying the prosecution in advance of the alleged surgery.

However, in his ruling, Justice Akintayo Aluko declined the prosecution’s application for a bench warrant and directed that the actress must be present in court for arraignment on June 9, 2026, the adjournment date.

“The defendant must present a verifiable medical report from a government hospital and ensure that the same is served on the prosecution before the next adjourned date. Also, the defendant must be present in court for arraignment,” the judge said.

DAILY POST recalls that the actress had accused the clergyman of criminal activities and threatened to release scandalous evidence against him.

Chris Okafor: Actress Doris Ogala’s absence stalls trial

Nollywood filmmaker and actress, Funke Akindele, has criticized Air Peace airline after being stranded with several others at the London Gatwick Airport.

She made this known in a series of posts via her official X handle on Friday.

According to Akindele, passengers have been stranded since 6:30 am at the airport with no proper communication from the airline.

She write: “Air Peace, this is unacceptable.
Passengers (including elderly people) have been stranded since 6:30 AM at London Gatwick Airport with no proper communication.

“After hours of delay, we were told there was a bird strike and promised a hotel. Hours later, people are still sitting at baggage claim hungry, exhausted and without their bags.

“Elderly passengers are struggling. Families are tired. No clear updates. No support. Release passengers’ luggage immediately and provide the hotel you promised. Do something NOW @flyairpeace.”

Responding to the post, Air Peace clarified: “Dear Funke @funkeakindele, we sincerely empathize with you over this experience and all inconveniences this has caused to your travel plans.

“Such actions are never intentional as we prioritize safety and operational efficiency, and while we strive for on-time departures, certain factors beyond our control can sometimes cause delays.

“Rest assured our team are working at the moment to provide all affected passengers with the adequate assistance. Please bear with us during this time.”

In another post less than an hour later, the acress lamented, “Air Peace, what is going on? Since 7AM at London Gatwick Airport and it’s almost 4PM no bags, no hotel, no proper updates. Passengers are stranded. People are tired and hungry.

“Release the luggage and take care of your passengers NOW.”

Nollywood actress Funke Akindele stranded over Air Peace delay in London

The Nigeria Police Force has arrested and detained singer Rolex Dee for allegedly defaming and cyberbullying Taye Currency on Agbaletu program.

The Oyo State Police Command made this known while reacting to a viral report that Rolex Dee was unlawfully arrested.

Speaking in a statement posted on X, the police tagged the news as “unverified reports capable of misleading the public”, explaining that operatives tracked Rolex to Lagos after receiving a petition from popular Ibadan based singer, Taye Currency.

Rolex was accused of defaming Currency’s character, cyberbullying and threat to life “across multiple social media platforms” after his interview on Agbaletu gained traction online.

“The suspect was alleged to have made defamatory utterances during a public programme known as Agbaletu, which subsequently gained widespread circulation online, thereby aggravating the impact of the alleged misconduct,” the command stated.

Adesua Etomi-Wellington, wife of Nigerian singer, politician and clergyman, Banky W, has reflected on her marriage, revealing that their love is still waxing stronger nearly a decade into their union.

Speaking in a recent interview hosted by Teju Babyface along with her husband, Mrs Wellington explained that initially Banky W wasn’t her ideal man due to his career paths but she settled for him because of divine instruction.

“Before I met my husband, I told God I didn’t want to marry a musician, a pastor or a politician, but God gave me all three,” she said.

On his part, Banky W revealed that Adesua confirmed he was her husband after several rejections.

He explained that he had known that she was his wife for a year and a half but was waiting for her to be on the same page.

He said, “Adesua called me on the phone one day and said, Banky, you know you’re my husband right?”

The singer said Adesua’s confirmation further strengthened his own conviction and they got married.

The couple wedded in 2017. Their marriage has produced two children.

Popular Nigerian actor and filmmaker, Lateef Adedimeji, and his wife, Adebimpe Adedimeji, have announced the birth of their triplets.

Abdulateef shared the news on May 1, 2026, through a video posted on his official Instagram page, confirming the arrival of the babies.

In the post, Lateef spoke about his recent silence and the journey leading to the birth of their children.

“I’ve been quiet… not absent. I was building, protecting, and embracing the greatest blessing of my life. God gave me more than I prayed for, a woman who became a mother of three, and three kings to call my own @etawithlove. My world. My responsibility. My legacy. Alhamdullilah!,” he said.

Following the announcement, friends, colleagues and fans flooded the couple’s Instagram page with congratulatory messages and well wishes.

Lateef and Adebimpe, who are both actors and filmmakers, got married on December 18, 2021.

Adebimpe hails from Ijero-Ekiti in Ekiti State, while Lateef is from Abeokuta in Ogun State.

Actor, Lateef Adedimeji, wife welcome triplets

Nollywood actress, Bimbo Ademoye was recently captured in a tense moment on set after a group of area boys reportedly stormed her outdoor movie location, demanding “settlement.”

In a video shared on X by user Usmanashafe, on Thursday, the actress is seen standing her ground, confronting the men who insisted she pay them for filming in their neighbourhood.

Visibly upset but composed, Bimbo made it clear she had no issue supporting them financially on her own terms but strongly rejected the way they approached her.

“I am a street girl, let me tell you. Ask around when it comes to matters of the street, I like settling boys. But you don’t come to me and start telling me the amount to give. Yes, you came to beg, and you’re even being proud of it,” she said.

The situation escalated when one of the men threatened to switch off her camera.

In response, the actress fired back, dismissing the threat.

“Camera that nobody in your generation has,” she replied sharply.
