Burna Boy’s mother, Bose Ogulu, has reacted to her son’s cussing and profane language using her name during a lifestream.

The singer used the curse words while denying beating DJ Tunez with his crew members.

DAILY POST reports that Wizkid had in a post on X, accused Burna Boy and his 10 man team of beating the DJ in Lagos’ night club over failure to play his music.

Denying the allegation on Wednesday during a Livestream with singer Shallipopi, Burna Boy said “Na only me touch DJ Tunez, no be 10 people. Na two slaps I give am. I swear with my mama. If I dey lie, make Ogun carry my mama go anywhere wey Wizkid mama dey.”

Following Burna Boy’s claim, a clear video of the incident capturing him and his team kicking DJ Tunez on the floor went viral on social media as against his claim.

Reacting to the development, the singer’s mother, Bose Ogulu, turned to a prayer warrior.

A viral video online captured her being surrounded by her son’s crew members as they prayed against every evil declaration and spirit.

“Oloun ma je a remi kemi. Oloun ma je a remi kemi”, she prayed in Yoruba.

Comedian, Basketmouth’s ex-wife, Elsie Okpocha, has threatened to sue anyone spreading false news about her failed marriage.

DAILY POST reports that the estranged couple got married in November 2010 and broke up in 2022 December.

Basketmouth, who announced the end of their in an Instagram post, claimed that the decision was sequel to much deliberations between the two of them.

But the claims of the paternity fraud surfaced on social media a month ago after a blog reported that Basketmouth during an interview allegedly disclosed that DNA results of their first child led to their divorce.

Reacting to the controversy on Saturday in a letter by her legal representative, Primeview Legal, Elsie denied the paternity fraud allegation and warned the public to desist from “false and unfounded” publications.

She further threatened to sue any individual or blogs found guilty of spreading such news for defamation, and invasion of privacy.

Expressing concerns over the psychological effects of such reports on her first child, she said in the legal letter shared on her Instagram page “some innocent members of the public may take such publications as the true state of things in the marriage and begin to bully their son on and off social media spaces with the consequential psychological trauma that will be inflicted on him, hence this intervention.”

Popular Nollywood Actor, Zubby Michael, who recently picked up the African Democratic Congress, ADC, membership form has indicated interest in running for a House of Representatives seat for the Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency of Anambra State.

The actor declared his intention on Saturday after he joined the ADC in his hometown, Ozubulu ward 5, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of the state.

The move is coming when several celebrities from the South-East are moving into the ruling party to solicit support for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Popular Nollywood actor, Zubby Michael, has officially joined the African Democratic Congress, ADC.

The actor joined the party on Saturday in his hometown, Ozubulu, Anambra State.

Confirming the development via his Instagram handle, Zubby Michael shared a video capturing the moment he officially registered and received his membership in the ADC.

“I dey my village enough of the talking online I don involve,” he wrote.

The development has caused a stir online as some fans congratulated him for aligning with Peter Obi, a prominent member of the ADC.

Some fans used the opportunity to slam celebrities who are supporting President Bola Tinubu.

Nollywood actor, Zubby Michael joins ADC

Nigerian streamer, Peller, has called out singer Ayra Starr for asking Jarvis if she has a boyfriend.

This comes a few hours after Jarvis’ Livestream with Ayra Starr on Tiktok.

During the interactive section, the musician asked if Jarvis has a boyfriend.

Peller who was angered by the question, called Ayra out in a viral video sighted by DAILY POST on Saturday, claiming that the singer “belittled” him.

The streamer who found the question disrespectful, accused Ayra of pretending not to know him despite his popularity.

He asked, “How could Ayra Starr ask Jarvis if Jarvis has a boyfriend. Is she trying to say she doesn’t know me? Would she like me to also ask if she’s a singer?

“She really belittled me. How could she ask Jarvis if she has a boyfriend. Did Ayra want to say she did not see when I took Jarvis on a vacation to South Africa or when I bought GLE for her?”

Nigerian singer Portable has alleged that he was paid N20 million by Burna Boy to fight Speed Darlington.

In a recent video, Portable made the claim stating that he was to confront Speed Darlington during their public dispute, insisting Burna boy paid him based on performance.

“The last time Speed Darlington and Burna Boy had issues, he paid me N20 million to beat him in a boxing match. I did it and he paid me,” Portable said.

Recounting the incident further in a mix of English and Pidgin, he added “The time wey Burna Boy and Speed Darlington get issue, wey Speed Darlington dey insult Burna Boy, na me help Burna Boy beat am.

“He promise me N20 million, and he give me. Burna Boy no just invite me like that if I no win, he no go give me the money. I win, na why I collect the N20 million.”

Portable also stressed that the singer fulfilled his promise, noting that he would have reacted publicly if otherwise.

“If he promise me money and he no give me, I go call am out. Na God say make I no call Burna Boy out, na why he come give me,” he said.

In addition to this, Portable extended a similar proposition to Wizkid, offering to confront comedian Carter Efe for a price.

“Now Wizkid should pay me N20 million so I can finish Carter Efe for him,” he added.

Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has opened up about how being an artist changed her.
The 31-year-old explained that before she became a professional musician, she was “hyper-indepent” and tended to push people away, but making music has taught her to be open and vulnerable without feeling odd.

Popular Nollywood actor, Tobi Makinde has spoken out over the rumoured rift with Funke Akindele.

DAILY POST reports that the news surfaced online after Funke, who is known as Tobi’s mother in the movie industry, failed to attend his wedding in December 2025.

However, speaking in an interview with BBC, Tobi claimed that social media often creates narratives that are not based on facts.

Clarifying their current relationship status, the actor explained that some relationships appear to be lost as people transition between different phases of life.

He said in Pidgin “I’m not aware of any fallout between madam Funke and I. Nothing really happened. Our relationship did not start on social media and no be for social media e go end.

“As you grow and move from one level to another, some relationships may look like they are lost in transit”, he said.

Nigerian singer Charles Chibueze Chukwu, popularly known as Crayon, has opened up about his past struggle with mental health and how he was able to overcome it.

Speaking during a livestream with Caterefe on Thursday night, Crayon disclosed that he had mental health issues in 2022 due to pressure from family and the music industry.

He explained that he was under intense stress because he was trying to meet up with family demands as well as earn a top spot in the music industry.

The music star stated he was hospitalised for therapy for a long time after which he returned with the hit songs ‘Labalaba’ and ‘Overloading’.

Crayon said, “In 2022, I had mental health issues from all sort of stress; family, industry, trying to be number one stress. I was hospitalised for a long therapy session, then I came out and dropped Labalaba and Overloading.”

Nollywood actor Jim Iyke has sparked a debate after sharing his opinion on financial burden in relationship.

The movie star claimed that if it costs a man money every time he see his partner, it isn’t a relationship but “prostitution”.

On his Instagram page, he wrote, “If it costs you money every time you see her, that’s prostitution not a relationship.”

His bold claim sparked mixed reactions, with many agreeing that it is “a red flag” regardless of the gender.
