Popular Nigerian actor Linc Edochie has warned the northern part of the country against provoking superpower nations.

Linc Edochie gave the warning after some northern youths protested the death of the Iranian Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was reportedly killed on February 28, 2026, in a joint airstrike by Israel and the United States.

The conflict, however, escalated after Iran launched retaliatory strikes on Israeli and U.S. assets in Middle Eastern nations.

In solidarity with the development, pro-Iran protests broke out in some northern states of Nigeria.

Speaking in a video on his Facebook page, Linc warned protesters not to provoke superpower countries against Nigeria.

While opining that the ongoing conflict might turn into the deadliest in world history, the actor noted that Nigeria cannot stand the fury of the U.S. and Israel.

“This may not be our direct concern, but what is happening in the world, let us take this matter to God in prayers. Whether it concerns us directly or we try to shy away from it, I’m sorry to say this: a third world war has formally begun.

“This war may not be fought on conventional terms, in all honesty, but it’s going to be the deadliest the world has ever seen. And to some of those guys up North protesting over what is happening in Iran, please let us leave the streets.

“You don’t want to provoke a superpower. If we draw their attention towards us, we’re in trouble. We cannot stand the fury of these countries. Let us just respect ourselves and manage our problems the way we are, please,” he said.

Skitmaker, Nasiru Lawal, popularly known as Nasboi, has berated skitmaker-turned-streamer, Carterefe for downplaying skit making in a recent interview.

DAILY POST recalls that Caterefe sparked controversy after claiming during a recent appearance on The Honest Bunch Podcast that skit making “is dead.”

He claimed that he was depressed because he felt skit making was “dying” until he launched his streaming career.

Reacting in a recent interview with Naija FM Lagos, Nasboi faulted Carterefe’s remarks, stressing that the streamer committed a “crime” by downplaying skit making, which brought him into limelight.

“Evolving is not a bad idea but talking down on the industry that made you is a crime in my books. Caterefe is my friend, we speak every time. But he is a loose talker.

“You can’t say skit making is dead. People are blowing up everyday with skit making.

“The fact that people evolved doesn’t mean that the industries they are leaving are dead,” he explained.

The Lagos State Government has cautioned Nollywood actress Sarah Martins against cooking and distributing food on public roads in the state, saying the activity violates environmental and public order regulations.

The warning was issued by the Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, in a post on his official X handle on Saturday evening.

“My attention has been drawn to your recent activity of cooking and distributing food on the streets of Lagos,” he wrote.

“While we acknowledge and appreciate the spirit of charity and compassion behind what you are trying to do, carrying out such activities on public roads, walkways or medians is not permitted under Lagos environmental and public order regulations,” the commissioner stated.

“Cooking or trading on public infrastructure poses safety, sanitation and traffic concerns,” Wahab added.

The commissioner also disclosed that the actress had previously been cautioned over a similar activity last year but was allowed to continue at the time due to the philanthropic nature of the initiative.

He continued: “You were previously cautioned about this same issue last year due to the understanding of its philanthropic intention and pleas.

“I would strongly advise that you desist from carrying out street cooking or similar activities in public spaces in Lagos in order to avoid apprehension and prosecution.”

He advised the actress to channel her charitable outreach through approved locations and proper channels so that assistance to vulnerable residents can be provided without violating environmental laws.

“If you wish to continue your charitable outreach, it should be done through proper channels and in approved locations so that your efforts can support vulnerable people without violating existing laws and constituting environmental nuisance,” Wahab added.

He further emphasised the importance of compliance with the law by all residents.

“We expect everyone to be law-abiding in Lagos, just as they would be in any other well-regulated city,” he said.

Popular Nigerian influencer, VeryDarkMan, has criticized actress Tonto Dikeh following a viral video showing her leading a “deliverance” session during a school visit.

The incident occurred on Friday, March 6, 2026, when Tonto Dikeh shared several clips on her Instagram page documenting what she described as a spiritual encounter during an evangelism outreach at the school.

In the videos, the actress explained that as she and her team were preparing to leave, she sensed a “spirit of death” in the area.

She said she immediately alerted her team, and the group began praying.

The prayers reportedly evolved into a deliverance session involving some of the students.

Reacting to the clips, VeryDarkMan condemned the event, urging Tonto Dikeh to refrain from involving children in such dramatic spiritual displays online.

He also warned the actress to avoid the school, noting that it is situated within his community.

He added that rather than staging public deliverance sessions, the actress should focus on offering tangible support.

VeryDarkMan highlighted his personal contribution to the school, saying he had renovated parts of the facility to encourage and support the students.

“With all due respect to Tonto Dikeh …..this is a warning do not come to my area to do this again…..na only poor man children good to test your powers, leave my area kids alone, we want to raise kids with real life orientation not an ideology that if you don’t make it there is something following you from village,prayers are good however without work prayers are not useful….Take your new content somewhere else leave ghetto kids alone,”he wrote in the Instagram caption.

Popular Nigerian singer, Joeboy has said breaking into the mainstream music industry is now more difficult than it was a few years ago.

He expressed deep concern for talented up-and-coming artists who are just starting out due to the development.

Speaking in a recent interview with Jay On-Air, Joeboy explained that breaking into the mainstream music industry now requires the artist to be social media-savvy and be some sort of influencer unlike before when good music and branding were all that mattered.

“I genuinely feel for artists that are trying to go mainstream right now because unlike before, it takes a lot more and it now depends on your personality and all of that. Because right now you have to be on everybody’s faces and all of that.

“Back then, if you have a great music, a great brand behind you and great marketing, the chances of you popping up was really higher. But now, it demands way more than that,” he said.

The singer advised up-and-coming artists to take advantage of social media platforms like TikTok to promote their music.

Veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie, has lamented the burden of accessing basic amenities in Nigeria.

The actor while speaking about the worsening economic conditions in the country, disclosed the daily amount he spends on amenities like electricity.

Expressing frustration, the 78-year-old also accused some political leaders of marginalising the South-East region in infrastructure allocation, particularly railway transportation.

Speaking on a recent episode of AIT’s programme JIGSAW, Pete Edochie explained that he spent N40,000 daily on electricity and fuel.

“I spend N40,000 in my home every day for light. It disturbs me a lot. N10,000 for electricity and additional N30,000 on diesel and fuel.

“Nobody seems to be bothered about what is happening to the common man. Why must it keep getting worse on each new day? Can we not improve? There was a time when somebody cut off the South-East in terms of railway transportation. Why must there be consistency in going backwards?” he asked.

Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju Omiyinka, professionally known as Baba Ijesha, has stated that human beings are more wicked than snakes.

He stated this three months after he was released from a Lagos State prison where he served time following his conviction on allegations of sexual assault levelled against him by colleague and comedian, Damilola Adekoya, better known as Princess.

Recall that Prince had in 2021 accused Baba Ijesha of sexually assaulting her 14-year-old foster daughter at her residence.

DAILY POST reports that Ijesha regained his freedom in November 2025 after completing his five years prison term.

Speaking for the first time after his release, the actor in a viral music video, accused Princess of framing him up.

Sharing his own side of the incident that took him to prison, Baba Ijesha warned his fans and the public to be careful with friends.

While insisting that the incident was a set up by Princess who was his close friend, the actor lamented being betrayed by those he truly trusted.

He said, “My trust was betrayed, I ended up in Kirikiri prison because of a woman. She asked them to silence me, so that my voice must not be heard. This is how it happened. Please listen to my own side of the story.

“The incident happened on April 21, 2021. Princess she devil who was my friend called me that she’s preparing my favorite food, pounded yam, egusi soup with bush meat. That was how I got captured, the world is wicked. She told me about a job before that day but she said she doesn’t want me to play my usual role in the movie, she wants me to act as a young guy because she wants to take me to another level but I never knew it was Kirikiri and Panti prison.

“When I got to her house, I met some people at her house. While still waiting for her to finish cooking, I started rehearsing according to what the alleged director told me, not knowing it was a lie, there’s no movie anywhere, it was all set up. The main offender is walking freely while they want an innocent man to be killed. That’s how I got to Kirikiri.

“Please my fans be careful with friends. They cannot be trusted. Flee from them because the world is evil, and human beings are more wicked than venomous snakes.”

Nigerian singer, Joeboy has reacted to the controversy that trailed South African singer Tyla’s recent Grammy triumph over his colleagues.

DAILY POST recalls that there was a groundswell of mixed reactions after Tyla won the Best African Music Performance category with her hit song ‘Push 2 Start’ ahead of Nigerian singers Davido, Omah Lay, Wizkid, Ayra Starr, and Burna Boy at the 2026 Grammys in early February.

Speaking in a recent interview with Jay On-Air, Joeboy said contrary to some claims during the Grammy controversy that Tyla didn’t deserve the award, she merited it.

He explained that he was personally tipping Davido for the award, but added that Tyla was also a worthy winner.

“Personally, I was rooting for Davido to win the Best African Music Performance category at the 2026 Grammys, but you can’t take it away from Tyla. She is an amazing artist whether you accept it or not. She really put in the work.

“People can be angry all they want but she deserved the Grammy win. I can’t fault her triumph,” he said.

Joeboy said Tyla is one of the artists he would like to collaborate with in the future, praising her talent and work ethics.

Arsenal winger, Bukayo Saka has left fans in shock after revealing that he doesn’t know famous Canadian singer Celine Dion or ever heard any of her songs.

The England international disclosed this during a recent chat with Grammy-winning Nigerian Tems.

The winger had asked Tems about her idols growing up, but when she mentioned Celine Dion, the Arsenal star claimed he didn’t know the iconic singer.

Saka: “You said you were nine when you started singing. Did you have any idols or singers you loved?”

Tems: “I loved Celine Dion.”

Saka: “I don’t know who that is.”

Tems: “You don’t know who Celine Dion is?”

Popular Nigerian actress, Doris Ogala has fumed at the remark of the founder of Grace Nation International Ministry, Pastor Chris Okafor about her.

This came a few hours after Okafor referred to her as Jezebel.

He made the comments while retracting the apology he previously made to her for dumping her to marry another woman after their years-long sexual relationship.

While explaining why he previously knelt down to plead for forgiveness, the clergy man made a U-turn and denied ever meeting her face to face or offending her.

He said “let it be known, I knelt down because of those fathers of faith and the church. Not because of any Jezebel anywhere. No, God forbid.”

However, reacting to the new development, Doris in an Instagram post, vowed to show Okafor the stuff that Jezebels are made of.

She wrote “Na me u Call jezzibel Abi. U don’t know who jazibel be. Because I was pitying u. I will show you what jazibel Dey do.”

Also speaking in a video on her page, she said “Chris, maybe you think this thing is a joke, do you think I care about your apology? I said you will crawl and apologize to me, you think I’m joking. That one you kneel down to do at your church is not enough. I said you will crawl, you will lay down and crawl on the floor and beg me.

“You call me Jezebel, I will teach you what Jezebel do. You earlier admitted in a court paper that we actually dated. I’m glad that God is actually exposing you.
