Nigerian gospel singer, Bidemi Olaoba has spoken for the first time since the passing of his colleague, Olayemi Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings.

Toluwanisings’ final appearance came at Olaoba’s worship service in Ibadan, Oyo State.

A day later, he died after collapsing in his home, amid reports that he was rejected by several hospitals.

Olaoba, posting on his Facebook page on Sunday, said Toluwanisings’ death had left an immeasurable void.

He also admitted he would have given Toluwanisings all night to sing and hugged him longer.

“If only I had known that your last ministration would be your final one before you joined the saints in glory, I would have held you a little longer, embraced you a little tighter, and given you the entire night to praise your God and pour out your heart before Him, just as you loved to do,” he said.

Olaoba also said that although Toluwanisings’ time on earth is over, his “ministry lives on.”

Nollywood actress, Tenia Abraham has died from a kidney infection.

The former beauty queen was buried in Abuja on Saturday.

This was confirmed in an obituary shared on her Instagram page.

The obituary stated that Tenia had been laid to rest at Gudu Cemetery in Abuja.

“With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved Nollywood actress, a vibrant talent, a loving daughter, sister and friend,” the statement read.

The family also revealed in the statement that she passed away on October 13.

Davido’s logistics manager, Israel DMW, has dismissed rumours that the Afrobeats star is secretly working for the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Israel, in a statement posted on his Instagram handle on Sunday, described the claims as fabricated lies allegedly aimed at generating social media traffic.

He said, “Dearest Nigerians, kindly disregard the useless rumours going around that Oga has been secretly or is currently working for the APC.

“All are totally fabricated lies to gain social media traffic. His earlier stance still remains.

“Oga has rejected several millions of dollars to endorse any of the presidential candidates. He keeps saying he would be with Nigerians, who are going through a lot, and that he would never betray them at all. What else do Nigerians want again?”

Veteran Nigerian actor Jide Kosoko has said he does not want to die, while speaking about his 30-year struggle with diabetes.

Speaking in an interview on the Africa A-List podcast, the actor explained that he had been intentional about managing his health since his diagnosis because he wanted to stay alive.

Responding to criticism over his attendance at social functions while one of his colleagues was ill, Kosoko noted that he also had health challenges.

He urged his colleagues to take care of their health and undergo regular medical check-ups.

“They said someone is sick and Jide Kosoko still went to parties. Why shouldn’t I attend a party?

“I’ve been diabetic since 1996 till date, and I’ve continued to maintain myself because I don’t want to die at all. I was recently informed about a particular test called colonoscopy.

“They said they wanted to check every part of my body to know if there are any traces of cancer. They put me to sleep. And I almost died,” he said.

Nigerian livestreamers Peller and Carter Efe have been nominated for the 2026 International Streamer Awards.

The duo were nominated in the Best International Streamers category alongside Polish creator Young Multi, Cuban streamer Staryuuki and Indian streamer Ashswag.

The organisers announced the nominees on X over the weekend, stating that voting would close on the official website on October 31.

Reacting to the nomination, Carter Efe wrote, “Don’t stress it, Carter all the way! 100%.”

Peller also expressed confidence in his fans, saying, “Bro my fans are crazy no way.”

The nomination comes after Peller announced that he had been invited to TikTok’s office in the United Kingdom.

Nigerian content creator Cute Abiola has raised concerns over alleged police brutality in Kwara State, accusing some officers of harassing and brutalising residents.

Cute Abiola, in a video shared on his Instagram page, said he had personally witnessed incidents of police harassment and brutality in the state, adding that the situation must stop.

The content creator said he had raised the issue several times and held discussions with the former and current commissioners of police in the state.

According to him, despite assurances from police authorities that the incidents had stopped, reports from youths and videos circulating online suggested that the alleged brutality was continuing.

He said the current Commissioner of Police told him that some of the videos were old clips and explained that the officers involved were members of a tactical team.

Cute Abiola, however, said he had personally witnessed some of the incidents, adding that the officers were often dressed in plain clothes.

“From now on, this must stop in Kwara, and I want to drop some numbers that you can call in case the police harass you. They have no right to collect your phone,” he said.

He urged residents who experience harassment to contact the Commissioner of Police and the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), sharing their contact details alongside that of his personal assistant.

The content creator said Kwara State should remain a place of peace and harmony, insisting that alleged police brutality must not continue.

Nigerian gospel comedian, Ayobami Ajewole, better known as Woli Agba has claimed that everyone cannot have access to miracles.

He stated this while raising concerns about people losing their faith over the death of gospel singer, Toluwanisings, despite prayers for a miracle.

Addressing a message that asked whether prayer truly works, Woli Agba in a post on Instagram, urged the public to give their body what it requires.

DAILY POST reports that Toluwanisings slumped and died on October 14, 2026.

The incident which happened in the early hours of Wednesday was kept secret from the public by his family and close colleagues as they prayed for a miracle.

When the rumours of his death surfaced online in the afternoon, some of his associates including, Woli Agba, took to social media to inform the public that they should not report him dead yet because they are praying for God to raise him.

After over 10 hours of prayers, the family finally announced his death at about 11:00 pm on Wednesday.

Amid the controversy trailing Toluwanisings’ death, some netizens questioned why God failed to resurrect him despite him being a gospel singer.

Reacting to the development, Woli Agba lamented that people are losing their faith.

Separating prayer from individual responsibilities to care for their health, the comedian who is also a pastor, noted that the fact that Jesus Christ resurrected Lazarus does not mean that he will resurrect every other person.

While advising other entertainers to give themselves adequate rest, Woli Agba stated that miracles are not accessible to everyone.

He said, “We cannot just begin to disrespect miracles to feel like it’s something that everybody can have access to.

“People are losing their faith and it’s understandable. Last night someone sent a message to me and asked, “Daddy does prayers really work?

“It takes some levels of weakness to come up with such a question. I feel one way or the other, we’ve all been fed with some doctrine, teachings and testimonies that have one way or the other dealt with our mindset when it comes to the spiritual and the physical.

“Miracles are not like daily bread, that’s why you cannot tell any pastor to go to the mortuary and begin to wake people up. It’s not anybody’s doing. It happens in a way that we cannot explain.

“How many people parted the Red Sea? The fact that Lazarus woke up after four days doesn’t say that every other person will wake up after four days. Miracles should be respected and it happens not by anybody’s power.

“Now this is why I’m making this video, give your body what it requires. Yesterday I was speaking with my daddy, Apostle Wole Oladiyan, and he said these four things are very important. One is adequate rest. You can have visions and plans. See this our body is our container when you praise God in this body and your body is weak, you will continue that praise with the angels.

“Adequate rest is very important and this is me speaking to myself and all creatives, actors, musicians or whoever that wants to be present at every program or event. I know we all just want to make money but we need adequate rest.”
