Nigerian social media personality, Izzy Ogbeide, has criticized controversial activist VeryDarkMan over his recent comments about singer Davido and his family.

Ogbeide described the activist’s remarks as disrespectful, suggesting that his approach towards the singer and the Adeleke family amounted to taking their relationship and status for granted.

Reacting to the controversy in a post shared on her TikTok page, she said, “This is just pure ‘see finish’. The disrespect is too much.”

She also praised singer Wizkid for maintaining distance from people who claim to be his friends.

“This is why the world will respect Wizkid forever. Wizkid is not friends with anybody, but anybody can claim him as their friend,” she added.

Her comments have sparked discussions online, with social media users weighing in on VeryDarkMan’s recent remarks about Davido and the Adeleke family.

The controversy centers on the activist’s criticism of the family’s wealth and public profile, with reactions divided between those who view his comments as legitimate scrutiny and others who consider them disrespectful.

Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has set a new record for the longest solo song from an African act on the US Billboard Hot 100 Chart.

Her hit song ‘What You Need’ charts another week on the Billboard Hot 100, making a total of 30 weeks.

Consequently, it has now surpassed South Africa pop star Tyla’s ‘Water’ and Afrobeats singer CKay’s ‘Love Nwantiti’ (29 weeks) as the longest charting solo African song on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart.

‘What You Need’ is charting at number 33 this week.

The song peaked at number 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart.

It reached number 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay and Adult R&B Airplay charts.

Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, has revealed his favourite musician of all-time.

According to the SpaceX and Tesla CEO, the late German composer, Johann Sebastian Bach, is the greatest musician of all-time.

He described Bach as the William Shakespeare of music.

On his X handle, Musk wrote, “Johann Sebastian Bach is the Shakespeare of music. Best there ever was.”

Johann Sebastian Bach was an 18th-century German composer, keyboardist, violinist, organ expert and music director known for his prolific output across a variety of instruments and forms.

Actress Laide Bakare has rejected Eniola Badmus’ public apology amid their ongoing feud.

DAILY POST reports that Eniola apologised to Laide and sought peace between them on Tuesday.

The development came after she was criticised over her recent facial expression when Laide’s name was mentioned during her interview with Isbae U.

Rejecting Eniola’s apology, Laide, in an Instagram post, tagged it fake.

She simply wrote, “Fake apology.”

The family of Nigerian gospel singer, Toluwanisings, has announced a date for his service of songs.

This is coming a week after the singer’s sudden death.

Toluwanisings’ family, in a post on his social media page on Wednesday, announced that a night of tributes and service of songs will be held in honour of the late singer on October 27, 2026, at Jogor Center Hall of Grace in Ibadan, at 3pm.

“We invite you to join us for a Night of Tributes and Service of Songs in honour of our beloved brother, friend, and gospel minister, Olayemi Bayonle Bolaji, fondly known as Toluwanisings,” the post read.

DAILY POST reports that Toluwanisings died on October 14, 2026, a few hours after his ministration at singer, Bidemi Olaoba’s praise concert in Ibadan.

His demise has continued to spark conversation on social media, with many people, including celebrities, accusing the Nigeria government of being responsible for his death following inability to provide an adequate health care system for its citizens.

According to his PA, the singer slumped at his residence and died after being rejected by eight hospitals in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, due to lack of emergency equipment.

Popular Anambra-based cleric, Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, widely known as Odumeje, has claimed that some Nigerian Christian clerics stage fake miracles.

Speaking in a recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, Odumeje lamented that the rate of staged miracles in Nigeria was becoming too much.

“Arrangees [staged miracles] in churches are becoming too much in Nigeria. That is why I don’t go to other clerics’ churches as guest minister. I have turned down a lot of invitations,” he stated.

Odumeje said the miracles that happen in his church are well-documented and could easily be verified.

“The miracles we do here, we see their faces. You can take their names and verify,” he said.

The cleric claimed that no Nigerian Christian cleric can do the kind of miracles he does except the late Prophet TB Joshua, whom he referred to as his “father in the Lord”.

He questioned when Nigerians would unite to demand accountability and the rights and benefits they believe they are being denied by those in positions of authority.

Sabinus wrote: “A lot is going on in this country and we’re just keeping quiet. You demand for good governance, they tell you to mind your business.

“You try to mind your business, they still insult you. When are we going to come as one and demand for what we’re being owed?”

Nigerian content creator, Broda Shaggi has finally returned to social media months after his sudden disappearance.

DAILY POST reports that the skit maker has been absent online since March 2026, after he was shot while filming at Sango Ota Bridge, Ogun State.

Confirming the news, the Lagos State police command explained that the incident was officially reported by a private hospital he was first rushed to in the Alakuko area of the state.

The report, which surfaced online on March 13, has left netizens, especially his fans worried about his well-being and whereabouts.

However, returning to social media in an emotional video shared on his Instagram page late Tuesday evening, Broda Shaggi said the incident happened on March 9.

Describing it as “a day in my life I wished never happened”, he showed a short video of him being rushed to the hospital with a gunshot injury and blood stains.

He said he would be sharing the details of the shooting with the general public on Wednesday.

Famous Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie, has stated that Nigerian artists enjoy a lot of financial support from billionaires and business executives in the country, unlike their Ghanaian counterparts.

Speaking in a recent episode of the When We Sit podcast, the Azonto crooner said Ghanaian artists often do music on their own without any financial assistance from fellow Ghanaians.

He said Nigerian businessmen love supporting and investing in talents, which give Nigerian artists financial advantage in Africa.

“What Ghanaian artists do is organic. I give a business plan, even with that it is hard to get some people to come in. But in Nigeria, I think they take a lot of risk, most of the rich people with money, take a lot of risk to put their people on. If I breakdown what it takes to do the O2 Arena, you will freak out, but then we still have to do it,” he said.

He recalled meeting Nigerian billionaire, Tony Elumelu, and being shocked by the amount he told him he was investing in a Nigerian artist, whom he believes is the future of Afrobeats.
