Transfer: Details of Real Madrid’s deal for Konate revealed

LaLiga president, Javier Tebas, has hailed Cristiano Ronaldo’s decision to buy into UD Almeria.

Ronaldo last month, acquired a 25% stake in the Spanish second-division club through his CR7 Sports Investments.

Since the deal was completed Almeria have seen their social media numbers explode and they are currently the fifth most-followed club in Spain.

Tebas has now spoken about the importance of the investment by Ronaldo, who previously played for Real Madrid in LaLiga.

“Almería are now fifth Spanish club on social media since Cristiano Ronaldo decided to invest into their project,” Tebas said.

“This is very important to get sponsors and improve the project for long term. Cristiano into the Almería project means ambition for the future.”

Experienced tactician Hassan Abdallah has revealed that he was framed up for bribery during his time with Nigeria National League, NNL, side, Heartland.

DAILY POST reports that Abdallah managed Heartland during the 2021-22 season.

Abdallah spent around two months with the club.

The former Flying Eagles assistant coach insisted that he is still being owed by the Naze Millionaires.

“When I was here with Heartland a lot of things happened, people set me up with bribery allegations.

“My team, they were not paid, up till now I’m still being owed by Heartland that was how I left the club with no support,” the tactician said.

Abdallah is currently in charge of Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, side, Warri Wolves.

Warri Wolves suffered a 3-0 defeat to Owerri-based club Kun Khalifat FC in a week 34 encounter at the Dan Anyiam Stadium on Sunday.

Alex Iwobi suffered an injury in Fulham’s London derby draw with Brentford on Saturday, DAILY POST reports.

Iwobi limped off feeling his hamstring shortly before half-time.

The versatile midfielder was replaced by his international teammate Samuel Chukwueze.

Iwobi made his 255th Premier League start in the keenly contested encounter.

Fulham manager Marco Silva will be hoping the 29-year-old has not suffered a serious injury, as the Whites continue their push for a place in European competition.

He has contributed four goals and three assists in 27 league appearances for Fulham this season.
