Lagos CP urges applicants to complete police screening before deadline

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, Mr Fatai Tijani, has urged applicants in the 2025 Police Constable Recruitment Exercise to complete their screening before Saturday’s deadline.

Tijani made the appeal on Thursday during a visit to the screening centre at the Police College, Ikeja, where he assessed the exercise and ensured compliance with established guidelines.

This is contained in a statement signed by the command’s spokesperson, SP Abimbola Adebisi, on Thursday in Lagos.

The commissioner met officials of the Police Service Commission, the Federal Character Commission and the Police Community Relations Committee monitoring the exercise.

The officials were on the ground to ensure fairness and transparency in the exercise.

Tijani commended the level of organisation at the centre and expressed satisfaction with the coordination and professionalism of the agencies involved.

He said the exercise aligned with directives of the Inspector-General of Police, Mr Olatunji Disu.

He said the directives were aimed at strengthening transparency and merit in police recruitment nationwide.

The commissioner urged applicants yet to undergo screening to take advantage of the opportunity before the closing date.

He warned that failure to participate within the stipulated period might lead to disqualification.

Tijani reassured the public of the command’s commitment to fairness, accountability and integrity throughout the exercise.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the screening began on March 9 and will end on Saturday. (NAN)
