The Lagos State magistrate court sitting in Ikorodu has approved three laboratories abroad for the DNA test of the late singer Mohbad’s son, Liam.

The counsel to the late singer’s father, Oladayo Ogungbe, announced the development after the court session.

Ogungbe disclosed that the court authorised one laboratory in the US, and two in the UK.

While explaining that all parties will be present for the collection of samples, he noted that the singer’s widow, Wunmi, and Joseph Aloba, his father picked one laboratory each while the court also picked an independent one.

DAILY POST reports that the development came after Mohbad’s father demanded a DNA test on Liam following the circumstances surrounding the singer’s death in September 2023 at his residence.

“The court has eventually picked three DNA Laboratory centres, two in the United Kingdom and one in the United States. One from us, one from them, and the court picked an independent one,” he said.

The matter was, however, adjourned to April 7 2026 for collection of samples which will be monitored by welfare officers.

Popular Nollywood actress, Doris Ogala, has rejected the $10,000 settlement from the founder of Grace Nation Bible Ministry, pastor Chris Okafor.

The actress made this known in a video made on Tuesday December 23 2025, and shared on her Instagram page Saturday morning.

Speaking in the video, Ogala stated that the clergy man brought the money as settlement and also begged her to publicly debunk everything she had said about him.

While revealing the outcome of their table talks, she alleged that pastor Chris urged her to lie that she was sent by some pastors to lie against him.

“Chris, you’ve seen me finish ooo, honestly, you have seen me finish. This is $10,000, he gave me this $5,000 last night after we talked and he was pleading and all that. Then he gave me this $5,000 this afternoon.

“This man is just mad. You can imagine this man wanted me to come and say that all the pastors or a few pastors
were the ones who sent me to come and fight him. I should put it on the pastors’ head, then I will come out and debunk everything that I have said. Come on, you want me to take a fool? After all that I have said?

“Chris, you see this money that you gave me, it will never be a transaction of anything in my life or transaction of any part of my body. I cancelled every evil altar that you are coming from. He that is in me and protecting me is greater. I deliberately collected this money to tell you that everything i have said is the truth. I’m not lying and I will never lie. Chris, I’m not as cheap as you are, ten thousand dollars is nothing to me, and I’m not blackmailing you but I wanted the world to see that you actually gave me money. Chris, I will not lie on any pastor or put it on any pastor’s head. So, this is the money he gave to me with the Zenith bank envelope just now. Today is 23 December 2025, and I’m making this video by 5;39 pm”, she stated.

DAILY POST reports that the development came a few days after Doris Ogala disclosed that table talks and resolution is ongoing between them.

Recall that Doris called Chris Okafor out after he dumped her for another woman despite promising her marriage.

Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, has escaped police arrest after beating up his fourth baby mama, actress Ashabi Simple.

The incident reportedly happened on Thursday, January 1, 2026 during Ashabi’s visit to his bar in Ogun state.

In a viral video of the incident online, Ashabi, who was seen holding the singer’s cloth saying she’s tired of being called his baby mama, insisted that Portable must also recognise her as his wife.

She said: “Oya Pami baby, I’m also your wife, you’ve to stop calling me your baby mama.”

Portable immediately pushed her and replied that he only recognises his wife, Bewaji, noting that other women that have kids with him are baby mamas.

“I only have one wife, the rest of you are just baby mamas,” the singer said.

His response escalated the altercation with Ashabi responding emotionally “Then you will have to kill me, baby.”

After the commotion, the actress and her siblings reported Portable to the police for assault and abuse.

Speaking in a video on Instagram, Ashabi revealed that the police met Portable’s pregnant wife, Bewaji at home as Portable escaped arrest.

“I celebrated the new year in a happy mood with my family. You are the one that called me that you’re in a bad mood, and I told you that I went to my dad’s house for the new year. And you asked me to bring new year food for you and I said ok.

“I called you when I got to your bar, and you asked me to meet you outside. When I got there, we had a minor disagreement and you slapped me, beat me up, seized our phones and threatened my siblings and I with axe,” she alleged.

Reacting to the fight, many Nigerians berated her for forcing herself on him, while some said she has low self esteem.
