AI tools must be adapted to local languages, institutions to work effectively – World Bank

The World Bank said economic activity in Sub-Saharan Africa is projected to edge up from 3.3 per cent in 2024 to 3.5 per cent in 2025

The lender stated that developing economies today have more to gain and less to fear from AI than richer ones, noting that one out of every six jobs would be enhanced rather than replaced, as is commonly believed.
