The Super Eagles resumed training on Saturday following their hard-fought 2-1 victory over Madagascar in their opening 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture.
Eric Chelle’s men held a light recovery session at the practice pitch of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo as they began preparations for their Matchday 2 encounter against Guinea-Bissau.
All 24 players in camp took part in the session, with the coaching crew focusing on recovery after Friday’s demanding victory.
The Super Eagles are expected to intensify their preparations on Sunday before travelling to Bissau for the crucial away fixture.
Nigeria will face the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau at the Estádio Nacional 24 de Setembro on Tuesday.
Guinea-Bissau also made a winning start to their qualifying campaign, defeating Tanzania 2-0 to move top of Group L on goal difference, with Nigeria occupying second place.
In the group’s other Matchday 2 fixture, Madagascar will host Tanzania on Tuesday.
