Ola Aina has declared Nottingham Forest’s readiness for the UEFA Europa League semi-final clash against Aston Villa, DAILY POST reports.

The Tricky Trees will host Unai Emery’s men in the first leg at the City Ground on Thursday night.

Villa head into the game as the overwhelming favourites going by their performance in Europe last term, and Premier League this season.

Aina insisted that they are not under pressure, and will go all out to get a positive result in the first leg.

“I don’t think there’s that much pressure,” the Nigeria international told a press conference on Wednesday.

“The team and club are all proud to be in this situation in the semi-final. We just want to work hard and get the best result we can, which is hopefully a win tomorrow.”

LaLiga: Tevenet hails Lookman as Atlético’s best signing in seven years

Former Atletico Madrid assistant coach Luis Tevenet has labelled Ademola Lookman the signing the club has made in the last seven years.

Lookman linked up with the Red and Whites from Serie A club Atalanta during the winter transfer window.

The Nigeria international has registered seven goals, and four assists in 18 matches across all competitions for Diego Simeone’s side.

Tevenet the winger has added more creativity to Atletico team.

“For me he (Lookman) has been one of the club’s most important signings in the last six, seven years: now Atleti is much more ambiguous on both sides,” Tevenet told AS.

Lookman will be action when Atletico Madrid take on Arsenal in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League clash at the Metropolitano later tonight.

Cubana Chief Priest declares interest in House of Reps seat under APC

Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has declared his intention to run for a seat in the House of Representatives under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He made this known in a video shared online after visiting the APC secretariat in Imo State.

In the clip, he told party officials that he wants to represent the Orsu, Orlu and Oru East Federal Constituency in the 2027 elections.

In his caption, he said he had informed party leaders about his ambition and that they assured him of their support.

“I came to congratulate and encourage our party leaders and also to share my humble desire to represent my people at the House of Representatives,” he said. “God is in control; let His will be done.”

During the visit, one party leader praised him, describing him as a versatile individual who has made a positive impact.

“I don’t know if you’re a motivational speaker, businessman, or politician; you fit into all,” the official said, adding that the party would support his ambition.

Cubana Chief Priest has recently been outspoken in his support for the ruling party and the current administration.

He was also appointed as the Imo Director of the City Boy Movement, a youth group backing President Bola Tinubu’s re-election.
