Europa League: Aina fires up Forest crowd ahead Villa showdown

Ola Aina has challenged Nottingham Forest’s fans to crank up the noise ahead of their Europa League semi-final tie against Aston Villa.
Vítor Pereira’s side will host their fellow Premier League side in the first leg at the City Ground on Thursday evening.
The Tricky Trees will be desperate to record a comfortable lead in the first leg to make the reverse fixture a mere formality.
Aina believed the fans have a role to play in helping the players achieve their objective.
“They’ll help us a lot, we need them to crank it up for us and we need to hear them throughout the whole game because they do drive us forward a lot,” Aina told the club’s official website.
Nottingham Forest last won a European trophy in 1980.

Campos FC coach Chibueze confident ahead President Federation Cup

Campos FC head coach Gaptus Chibueze is optimistic about his team’s chances in the 2026 President Federation Cup.
The Owerri-based club edged Nigeria National League side Heartland to reach the finals of the competition.
Chibueze said he has confidence in his players’ ability to perform well at the national level.
“Everything is possible with my boys. We are physically and psychologically ready for the competition,” Chibueze told Dica Stories.
“We are not scared of any opponents as we have done it against Heartland and we can do it again.”
Chibueze said the team wants to replicate Abakaliki FC’s run in last year’s tournament.
“We want to replicate what Abakaliki FC did in the tournament last year,” he said.
DAILY POST reports that Abakaliki FC finished as runners-up in the competition last year.

Singer Goke Bajowa finally settles copyright dispute with Boye Best [VIDEO]

Legendary gospel singer, Goke Bajowa, has finally settled his copyright dispute with Boye Best.
The reconciliation occurred on Wednesday evening at Abeokuta in Ogun state during Boye Best’s new album launch.
This came a few days after Bajowa threatened legal action against Boye Best of allegedly using his evergreen song ‘Iwo Ko Lodami’ in promos of his album launch, making it look like Boye owned the song
Reacting to the threat in a video on his Instagram page, Boye who denied the claim, explained that the promo video was done by a lounge manager without his permission.
However, in a trending Instagram video shared by Bajowa on Thursday, the music stars were seen performing together last night at Boye Best’s album launch.
Speaking in the video after sharing a hug, Bajowa said “One love, one family. Boye is a good person. Many people have told me about him but I didn’t believe it. I think I will have to agree now with what I have seen in the last four days. God bless you. We will do a collaboration that people can stream and tidy up the paperwork.”
Others at the event include singers Alayo, KS1 Malaika, 9ice, actor Adeniyi Johnson, Mr Latin, Dele Omo Woli.

UCL: Top scorers after this week’s matches named

Real Madrid star, Kylian Mbappe, is the top scorer in the Champions League following this week’s semi-final first leg fixtures.
The France international is two goals ahead of second-place, Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane, on the list.
This comes after Kane scored a goal in Bayern Munich’s 5-4 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday.
The England international is ahead of Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez and PSG’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Kane will have another opportunity to close in on Mbappe in the top scorers list when Bayern Munich face PSG in the Champions League semi-final second leg next week.

Nigerian singer, Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has spoken about the impact of Lagos on his career, revealing that the city was crucial to his maturity journey.
Asake, who relocated to Lagos after graduating from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ille-Ife, said the city nurtured him into manhood.
Speaking in a recent interview with Spotify, the Sungba crooner said Lagos inspired many of his songs.
“Lagos taught me how to live like a man. Lagos inspired most of my songs,” he said.
The singer said he is grateful to God that his talent is being appreciated worldwide, noting that there are far more talented artists than him who are not been heard.
He said, “I’m happy because there are a lot of people who make music out there and a lot of people who are more talented than me. I’m thankful to God that I’m able to use the talent He gave me -not only locally but also globally. So for that, I give all thanks to God.”

Manchester United legend, Paul Scholes, has criticized Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard.
Scholes said the Norway midfielder is a big problem for Arsenal, adding that he hasn’t played his position properly this season.

Liverpool legend, Steven Gerrard, has predicted the Champions League semi-final second leg tie between Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich.
Recall that PSG defeated Bayern Munich 5-4 in the Champions League semi-final first leg encounter on Tuesday.
Both teams will clash next week in the return leg, and Gerrard believes PSG will punish Bayern at the Allianz Arena and progress to the final.
“But I just think PSG, the chances Real Madrid had [against Bayern], and they were not in a good place as a collective, PSG will go there full of confidence, full of belief, they are full of world-class players.
“I think they will punish Bayern Munich,” Gerrard told TNT Sports.
