Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lookman, could be handed a new role at Atletico Madrid, with Antoine Griezmann on the verge of signing for Orlando City.

It bring to an end his successful 20-year career in European football.

Griezmann’s exit will trigger a tactical shift at Atletico, especially for Lookman.

Lookman is currently deployed by Diego Simeone as a wide midfielder in a rigid 4-4-2 formation.

Although this setup allows Lookman to utilize his pace out wide, it also forces him deeper into defensive duties.

During the Nigerian’s time at Atalanta, he flourished as an inverted winger or a second striker.

EPL: Iwobi loses £500,000 valuables as London home is burgled

Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi, has lost valuables worth around £500,000 after his home was burgled.

According to Daily Sports, Iwobi was reportedly held at knifepoint by the attackers during the incident.

The hoodlums made away with wristwatches, jewelry, two iPhones and a MacBook laptop.

Iwobi is believed to have have an estimated £200,000 in cash on him and that was also said to have been stolen.

Authorities have begun investigation into the robbery.

Iwobi played for Fulham last weekend as the Cottagers defeated Burnley 3-1 in the Premier League.

‘I’m no longer interested in Grammy, Western validations’ – Davido

Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has spoken candidly about his journey in the music industry so far and what fans should expect from him in the next phase of his career.

Speaking on the Official UK Afrobeats Chart Show with Eddie Kadi, Davido said he has achieved so much in his career, performing across the world and receiving accolades, including back-to-back multiple Grammy nominations in the last three years.

He explained that his contented with his achievements, and now wants to return to his roots by making unapologetic African music as opposed to incorporating Western sounds to appeal to international audiences.

Davido said, “This part of my career, I have performed everywhere, sold out every arena, I have been to three Grammys in the last three years. The music that is coming next is very Davido, it is very African. We have done it so I am not really looking to really do western sounds.”

The singer also spoke the support he enjoys from his South African fans, claiming that “80 per cent” of the citizens of South Africa know him and love his music.

Davido has collaborated with several South African artists over the years and have received multiple certifications from the country’s music industry.
