Nollywood actor, Ijebu calls for King Mitchy’s arrest over alleged suicide attempt

Popular Nigerian actor, Tayo Amokade, professionally known as Ijebu, has called for the arrest of content creator, King Mitchy.

Ijebu made the call amid social media outcry trailing King Mitchy’s suicide attempt during Tiktok live.

DAILY POST reports that King Mitchy had during the Tiktok live drunk hypo in an alleged attempt to end her life following the ongoing public fight between her and VeryDarkMan.

After the incident, King Mitchy’s management announced that she allegedly took her life over the social media attack from VeryDarkMan and his fans.

The development sparked controversy on the Internet, with many Nigerians, including celebrities now using hypo for suicide content.

However, reacting to the viral trend, Ijebu in an Instagram video, called for Mitchy’s arrest for turning hypo to a product used to commit suicide.

While emphasising the negative effect of the video on teenage users, Ijebu noted that hypo is an household used product.

He said, “Good morning everyone, I want to pass this message to everybody, especially to our police. I’m begging the police in charge of social media, that are monitoring the use of social media that we have children between age 10 and 21 that have access to social media. I don’t know when hypo that is meant to bleach toilet, clothes or used to clean our house turned to a drink all in the name of I want to end all, I want to commit suicide, I’m depressed.

“So, if someone is now depressed, the solution is to take their life. I’m urging the police to start the arrest of anyone attempting to commit suicide because all this Gen z has a lot of followers. They are supposed to be a role model not bad influence. Please I’m begging the police to arrest anyone that comes online all in the name of I want to end it all. She was seen during the Tiktok live drinking hypo in presence of her associates”, Ijebu lamented.

EPL: ‘He’s the one’ – John Terry names best defender in history

Chelsea legend, John Terry, has said that former Manchester United player, Rio Ferdinand, is the best centre-back ever in the Premier League.

He gave credit to his long career and the successes he had while playing for one of the best clubs in the world.

Many people think John Terry is the best centre-back who has ever played in the Premier League.

However, the discussion usually involves people like Terry, Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic, and Virgil van Dijk.

The Chelsea legend said that even though Van Dijk is the best in this generation, the Manchester United legend is the greatest of all time.

In an episode of the Double Tops podcast, Terry said, “It’s not for me to say, I know this clip has become really popular lately, right?”
Because Jermaine Pennant came out and kind of wrote to me, and then the debate started about me, Rio, and Vidic, and then all of a sudden, it just got kind of focused on me.

“I believe that myself, Rio, Vidic, were from different generations than Virgil. I believe Virgil van Dijk is the best player of this era, from this generation. He has been the best by a million miles in the Premier League for the last four or five years? If it’s me to say, I would say Rio for me.”

The Chelsea legend compared himself to the former Manchester United and England defender.

He added, “I don’t think it’s for me to sit here and say I’m the best. What I will do is, it will come out when someone says the high-scoring defender and clean sheet.

“No, no, that’s me. So I can defend myself in that regard. If I had to choose someone, Rio is the one. Over time, his longevity and what he achieved stand out. Playing for one of the top clubs in the world, like Manchester United, is the best part for me.”

Ferdinand played for Manchester United for 12 years, from 2002 to 2014, and made 455 appearances.
He earned six Premier League championships and one UEFA Champions League title, along with other awards.

Sarz, Ozedikus, DJ Kaywise open up on exploitation by musicians

Record producers Sarz, Ozedikus and DJ Kaywise have spoken about the alleged exploitation of producers and DJs by some Nigerian musicians, with each of them sharing their personal experiences.

Sarz sparked the conversation after revealing during a recent appearance on the Afropolitan podcast that so many popular artists exploited him in the past.

“So many popular artists took advantage of me, they would make music with me and not pay me. There is one big artiste I made two songs with but he only paid for one, that day I said anyone who doesn’t have what I’m charging, I’m not working with them then I started becoming a notorious person,” he said.

Reacting to a viral clip of the interview on X, Ozedikus disclosed that he once had a similar experience with an unnamed musician.

He claimed that the artist didn’t only refuse to pay him but also denied him production credit.

He wrote, “After watching Sarz talk about artists taking advantage of him, I remembered 2016/17 when I produced 30+ songs in 2 months for someone. Got paid for none. They dropped one track and I was begging just to be tagged on ig for ‘exposure.’ Still didn’t happen lol.”
Reacting to Ozedikus’ post, DJ Kaywise revealed that he had a similar experience with rapper Eldee The Don, who promised to sign him to his record label in 2012 but reneged on his promise after he did 1,00 mixtapes for him and his artists.

“After seeing your tweets, I remembered in 2012 @eLDeeTheDon promising to sign me to his label… after I made over 1,000 mixtapes for him and his artists in my alaba days. Baba said @NOTJUSTOK would announce it after he signed @EvaAlordiah to the label. That was the first major industry lamba I ever got and that’s why I haven’t signed with any label since.”

DJ Kaywise said he is proud he decided to remain independent after the incident, adding that the decision is beginning to pay off.

Meanwhile, Eldee The Don is yet to address DJ Kaywise’s allegations.
