Super Eagles defender Bruno Onyemaechi has announced the birth of his first child, DAILY POST reports.

Onyemaechi announced the arrival of the bundle of joy with his Portuguese partner, Ines Fontes, on social media.

The left-back and Fontes have been together since 2022.

Fontes, who is a content creator, has been sharing pictures of the duo in recent weeks.

Onyemaechi posted a picture of himself holding the newborn, captioning it, “Best gift ever”.

The Olympiacos of Greece defender was in action for the Super Eagles against Iran on Friday.

Katsina United technical adviser, Azeez Mohammed, has expressed confidence ahead of their matchday 32 encounter against Barau FC.

The Chanji Boys will trade tackles with Barau FC at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano this weekend.

Mohammed declared that his players are aware of the demand ahead of the game.

He insisted that with fair officiating his team can secure a positive result from the game.

“The boys know what is at stake as we want to finish in a reputable position at the end of the season,” Mohammed told Katsina United’s media.

“Kano isn’t a new ground for us but I think we are going to get a good result against Barau FC.

“All I crave for is a good officiating in the game.”

Manchester United defender, Diogo Dalot has claimed that Al-Nassr’s Cristiano Ronaldo once told him that a player at Old Trafford “wouldn’t make it” at the club because he lacked “fire” in his game.

Dalot revealed this in a piece for the Players’ Tribune, published on Friday.

Ronaldo and Dalot played together at United after the five-time Ballon d’Or winner made a sensational return to the Premier League side.

In December 2022, Ronaldo eventually departed after falling out with Erik ten Hag, who was the manager at the time.

Dalot said: “That season with Cristiano was when I really started to grow as a player and as a person. I lost count of the number of predictions he got right, because he knows so well what it takes to go to the top.

“If anyone skipped a set in the gym, he would notice. We had a striker here who did really well for us in his first season, but Cristiano said, “He’s not gonna make it here.”
