Chelsea manager, Liam Rosenior, has revealed how the Blues will approach their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 return leg against Paris Saint-Germain at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.

Rosenior spoke ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League tie with Newcastle United on Saturday evening.

Recall that Chelsea had lost 5-2 against PSG in the first leg last Wednesday in Paris.

Speaking at his pre-match interview ahead of the Newcastle clash, Rosenior said his team will approach PSG at home with the idea of pressing and scoring many goals against the French Ligue 1 champions.

“My idea is to always dominate. Every game is to build a fearless team, no matter who they play,” Rosenior said as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.

“We will be pressing PSG and playing to score as many goals as possible”.

The winner between PSG and Chelsea will progress to the Champions League quarter-final stage.

Akor Adams insisted Atletico Madrid can upset Barcelona at the Spotify Nou Camp on Sunday.

Matias Almeyda’s thrashed Barcelona 4-1 last October, with Adams among the goal scorers for Sevilla.

The Rojiblancos have, however, not won a league game at the Camp Nou in 23 years.

Adams is confident they can end their poor run at the popular stadium.

The Nigerian international further said they have prepared well for the game.

“We’re continuing to train and prepare. Yes, they’re the league leaders and have an incredible group of players. But we’re going there knowing what can happen in a match: you can win, lose, or draw,” Adams told Marca.

The 25-year-old has scored seven goals and provided three assists in 22 La Liga appearances this season.

Enyimba have announced free entry for fans ahead of their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matchday 30 encounter against Plateau United.

The People’s Elephant made the announcement in a statement on Saturday.

Enyimba said the development follows the successful completion of the club’s three-match closed-door sanction, thereby paving the way for the much-awaited return of their passionate supporters to the stands.

DAILY POST recalls that Enyimba’s Stadium was banned due to security breaches during their matchday 21 fixture against Barau FC.

The nine-time NPFL champions will square up with Plateau United at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba on Sunday.

Enyimba are currently battling to avoid relegation from the NPFL.

They occupy 17th position on the NPFL table with 33 points from 29 matches.

Akwa United’s Chairman, Joseph Eno, has urged his players to stay focused and determined as they face Sporting Lagos in a Nigeria National League, NNL, matchday 14 clash.

Eno emphasized the importance of securing a win, which would significantly boost their chances of promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

Akwa United currently top the NNL Conference B table with 24 points, while Sporting Lagos sits in second position with 23 points.

The top teams from each group will secure promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.

“We have come a long way after thirteen games, and we must not lose focus, especially in this big match against our closest challengers,” Eno stated during his visit, on Friday.

“This is a very important game, and I expect you to stay focused and determined to secure the victory.

“A win will be a huge boost to our push for promotion. I want you to show confidence, teamwork, and the winning mentality that has brought us this far.”

The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has mourned the death of former Super Eagles midfielder, Henry Nwosu, DAILY POST reports.

Nwosu died in a Lagos hospital on Saturday morning.

The 62-year-old’s passing came a few days after the death of former NFF Technical Director and two-time Super Eagles head coach, Chief Adegboye Onigbinde.

NFF’s Secretary General, Mohammed Sanusi, said the entire football community cannot forget Nwosu’s immense contributions to the growth of the game in the country.

“This is another very sad news, even as we are still mourning the demise of Chief Onigbinde. Nigeria football can never forget the enormous contributions of Henry Nwosu both as a player and a coach. We pray that God will grant him eternal rest, and also grant the family he has left behind, as well as friends and relations, the fortitude to bear the loss,” Sanusi told thenff.com.

Nwosu was a member of the Green Eagles (now Super Eagles) side that won the title at the 1980 Africa Cup of Nations.

Sporting Lagos head coach, Jeffrey Butter, says they are ready for battle against Akwa United.

The modest club will square up against Akwa United in a match day 14 encounter at the Uyo Township Stadium on Sunday.

Butter said his team will approach the game with a winning mentality.

He assured the club faithful that they could expect a more determined team in the game.

“It’s a very important game for us, and we are going to approach it with the aim of getting a positive result,” Butter told Sporting Lagos media.

“The fans should expect to see a team with hunger and fight for promotion. We will give it everything we have.”

Kazakhstan Premier League club FC Kaisar have announced the signing of Nigerian striker Imoh Ezekiel, DAILY POST reports.

Ezekiel linked up with FC Kaisar on a free transfer after severing ties with Albanian club, KF Pogradeci.

The forward is the second Nigerian to join FC Kaisar in recent months following in the footsteps of Victor Moses.

The 32-year-old has also played for clubs in Belgium, Qatar, Turkey, and Spain.

Ezekiel is in line to make his debut for FC Kaisar against Astana next week Monday.

The versatile striker was a member of Nigeria U-23 side to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Football commentator and Turkish journalist, Haluk Yürekli, has suggested a Galatasaray player who is as valuable as Victor Osimhen after the Turkish Super Lig giants recently defeated Liverpool in the Champions League.

According to Yürekli, Çakır gave a display as valuable as the Nigerian international for Galatasaray against Arne Slot’s men, calling on the Turkish Super Lig champions not to sell the 29-year-old shot-stopper to any English Premier League club.

He spoke while speaking on the 343 Digital YouTube channel.

“Uğurcan Çakır is delivering a performance as valuable as Osimhen’s.

“If I were the decision-maker at Galatasaray, I would not sell Çakır for €50million, even to an English club.”

Former Chelsea captain, John Terry, has dismissed the talk about Arsenal having an asterisk on their season if they emerge Premier League champions due to set pieces.

Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry, has come to the defence of Kylian Mbappé, arguing that the Real Madrid forward faces an unfair level of scrutiny.
