Transfer: Man Utd to sign Salinas as Arsenal eye Romero

Manchester United are eager to sign left-back Jorge Salinas from Racing Santander this summer transfer window.

The Red Devils want Lewis Hall to fill their problem position, but Newcastle United are reluctant to sell the 21-year-old.

However, according to Sport, Man United have now settled on Salinas as their Plan B.

The Premier League club will have to battle Barcelona for the 19-year-old’s signature.

Meanwhile, in another development, Arsenal are interested in signing Cristian Romero from Tottenham Hotspur, according to The Athletic.

However, it will be difficult for Tottenham to sell the centre-back to their London rivals.

Spurs are expected to sell Romero this summer, but an overseas buyer is deemed more likely.

Romero has also been linked with Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid.

Transfer: Mourinho angry as Barcelona hijack Real Madrid’s move for Rodri

Real Madrid manager, Jose Mourinho, has been left furious with Barcelona set to sign Manchester City’s Rodri this summer.

Mourinho had been pushing senior officials at the club to bring in Rodri, as he seeks to bolster his midfield.

But Barca have now jumped to the front of the queue and are looking to quickly wrap up the deal.

Rodri is into the final months of his current contract and has been waiting on Madrid to open negotiations.

However, Los Blancos have been focused on tying Vinicius Junior to a new contract, amid strong interest from Arsenal.

City also want to keep Rodri and extend his contract, but it now appears he could be leaving the Etihad.

Turkey: Galatasaray to receive transfer offers they specifically want for Osimhen

Galatasaray might receive transfer offers they specifically want for their top striker, Victor Osimhen.

This was disclosed by Turkish football pundit Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, who insisted that Osimhen has no desire to leave Galatasaray at the moment.

He also noted that no club in Europe outside of Saudi Arabia can offer the Nigerian international the salary he currently receives at Galatasaray.

Osimhen has been linked with a summer transfer move away from Galatasaray.

“In terms of transfer fees, Galatasaray might receive the offers they want specifically for Osimhen, but aside from Saudi Arabia, there is no team in any of Europe’s big five leagues that can offer Victor Osimhen the net salary he is earning,” Sabuncuoğlu said via Safa Sports.

“Atletico Madrid is being mentioned. Let me tell you, Atletico Madrid’s offer would not exceed 10 million euros.

“But right now, that Osimhen is happy at Galatasaray. I don’t think he has any desire to leave.”

Osimhen is reportedly earning £307,795 per week at Galatasaray.

Transfer: Why I snubbed Arsenal to stay with Real Madrid – Vinicius Jr

Vinicius Junior has spoken for the first time since he put pen to paper on a new six-year contact with Real Madrid.

The 26-year-old’s future remained uncertain, especially as he was into the final months of the previous deal.

EPL: ‘Always creating issues, scares fans’ – Frank LeBoeuf names player Chelsea must change

Former Chelsea defender, Frank LeBoeuf, has said that the club should seek a replacement for Robert Sanchez to stand any chance of performing well in the Premier League this season.

He voiced his apprehension regarding the goalkeeper’s proficiency with the ball.

The Blues signed Sanchez from Brighton & Hove Albion in 2023, and he currently serves as their first-choice goalkeeper, having achieved nine clean sheets in 35 Premier League matches last season.

Nevertheless, the Spaniard has also committed several errors over the past two seasons, which have proven to be detrimental.

Sanchez is anticipated to remain at Chelsea this summer under the new management of Xabi Alonso. However, Frank LeBoeuf contends that a replacement is necessary, as he stated on ESPN FC:

“I still have a question mark over the goalkeeper. Sanchez can be very good on the line, but with his feet, he’s always creating issues and scares the fans when he has the ball at his feet.”

LeBoeuf also addressed the necessity for the Blues to reduce their squad size, commenting:

“I think they have like 45 players. They have to get rid of some of them. And of course, Xabi Alonso will have to get a selection of the players and maybe get rid of 15, at least 15 players. That’s insane, but it’s what he has to do. Otherwise, you cannot work.”

He further emphasized that Chelsea and Alonso “need to get rid” of certain players to maintain a harmonious dressing room.
