Captain Rasheedat Ajibade, veteran striker Asisat Oshoala, and reliable goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie are among the early arrivals at the Super Falcons camp in Casablanca, DAILY POST reports.

Other early arrivals in camp are Ogbonna Glory, Christy Ucheibe, Fatima Oloko, Oluwatosin Demehin, Rofiat Imuran, and Shukurat Oladipo.

The Super Falcons opened camp in Casablanca, Morocco, on Monday (today) ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Sixteen more players are still expected to arrive in camp.

Justine Madugu’s side will head to Morocco next week for the tournament which will run from Sunday, July 26 to Sunday 16, August 2026.

The Super Falcons will open their title defence against the Scorchers of Malawi at the Al Madina Stadium, Rabat on Tuesday, 28 July.

The 10-time champions will also face Zambia and Egypt in the same group.

Crown FC have retained 15 players for the 2026-27 season, DAILY POST reports.

The list includes Oyetunde Samuel Lekan, Fabode Olaitan, Oyedeji Samuel Dada, Francis Saviour, Olayiwola Habeeb, Alebiosu Tunde and Adegbola Samson.

Others are Olayiwola Waliu, Saka Abdullahi, Gherefun Ganiu, Abdullahi Akeem, Emmanuel David Okoye, Ajala Damilola, Moradeyo Abel, and Mohammed Saeed

The Ogbomosho-based club announced the decision in a statement signed by the management on Monday.

According to the statement, the retained players are expected to resume pre-season training on Monday, 20th July.

The club’s early resumption is aimed at ensuring adequate preparation for the new campaign.

Crown FC will seeks to make a strong impact in the 2026-27 NNL season.

They failed to secure promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, last season.

The Three Lions are preparing to face current holders Argentina in the semi-final of the tournament.

NPFL: Kun Khalifat sign three new players for new season

Ahmed Liman is attracting interest from Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, side Barau FC, DAILY POST reports.

According to reports, The Maliya Boys have opened negotiations with the midfielder.

Liman featured for Niger Tornadoes in the NPFL last season.

He has made 84 appearances for the Ikon Allah Boys during his four year spell at the club.

Liman’s experience will be key for Barau FC if he eventually makes the move.

The deal is expected to be completed before the start of the season.

Portuguese Primeira Liga club SC Braga have completed the signing of Nigerian defender Adebisi Olamikun from Inter Lagos, DAILY POST reports.

The Minho Warriors beat competition from other top clubs in Europe to the signature of the young centre-back.

Olamikun signed a long-term contract with SC Braga.

The 18-year-old played a key role in Inter Lagos’ promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, last season.

The left-footed centre-back is noted for his incredible recovery pace, composure on the ball, and elite aerial presence.

He is expected to start pre-season training with Braga following the completion of the transfer.

Ubong Williams has sealed a move to Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) outfit Rivers United.
Williams joined the Pride of Rivers on a permanent transfer from Bayelsa United.

The defender left Bayelsa United following the club’s relegation from the NPFL.

Williams featured regularly for the Prosperity Boys last season.

He is expected to compete for a starting role at his new club following Rivers United’s extensive recruitment drive.

Rivers United finished second in the NPFL last season and are strengthening their squad for both domestic and continental campaigns.

The Port Harcourt club are expected to announce more signings in the coming weeks as the 2026/27 season approaches.

NPFL: Ubong Williams moves to Rivers United from Bayelsa United

Venezia director Filippo Antonelli has confirmed talks are at a very advanced stage for Sevilla striker Akor Adams, DAILY POST reports.

Transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano reported on Saturday that Venezia, and Sevilla have agreed on a €16m fee for the Nigeria international.

Antonelli revealed there are some details to be sorted before the transfer is completed.

“I promise that I will tell you everything once it is all closed.The talks are at a very advanced stage, but there are still some final details to work out,” Antonelli told reporters during Sunday’s press conference.

Adams linked up with Sevilla from French club Montpellier €5.5m in January 2025.

The 26-year-old was the Rojiblancos’ top scorer last season. He scored 10 goals with three assists in 32 league appearances.

Nigeria goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has rejoined South African club Chippa United, DAILY POST reports.

Nwabali left Chippa United in February after requesting that his contract be terminated.

The former Enyimba goal tender has now return to the Chilli Boys after failing to secure a move to another club.

The Eastern Cape outfit confirmed the shot stopper’s return in a statement on their X account on Sunday.

“Chippa United Football Club is delighted to welcome Stanley Nwabali back to the Chilli Boys.After taking time away, Stanley Nwabali returns to the Eastern Cape, and we are pleased to welcome him back to the club,”reads the short statement.

The 30-year-old first joined Chippa United from Katsina United in 2022.

He made 66 league appearances during that stint.

Nasarawa Amazons head coach Christopher Danjuma has attributed his team’s 2026 Women’s President Federation Cup triumph to hard work.

The Amazons beat Heartland Queens 6-5 on penalities to lift the trophy for the third time at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba on Saturday.

The thrilling encounter ended 1-1 in regulation time.

Danjuma said his team fought hard to win the game despite the departure of several key stars.

“It has been hard work and dedication from the management, coaches, and most importantly, the real actors—the players,” Danjuma told the club’s media.

“Despite losing nine or more players to various clubs, we remained focused and determined. We thank God Almighty for this victory.”
