Nigerian left-back Taiwo Abdulrafiu has completed a permanent move to Tanzanian Premier League side Azam FC, DAILY POST reports.

Abdulrafiu featured for Rivers United in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, last season.

He put pen to paper on a three-year contract with the Tanzanian giants.

Abdulrafiu previously featured for Bayelsa United before moving to Rivers United.

He was also part of Nigeria’s squad to the 2024 African Nations Championship.

Abdulrafiu will bring experience and versatility to the Azam FC squad as the club prepare for the new Tanzanian Premier League season and continental competition.

He becomes the latest Nigerian player to move to East Africa, following a growing trend of NPFL talents securing deals abroad.

Deborah Abiodun, and Monday Gift have finally arrived the Super Falcons Marriott hotel base in Casablanca ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, DAILY POST reports.

Head coach Justine Madugu now has his full 25-player squad available after Deborah Abiodun and Gift Monday finally linked up with the team.

The duo had been expected to arrive in camp on Tuesday, but their journey from the United States was delayed after their scheduled flight was cancelled.

They missed the Super Falcons 2-1 friendly victory over the Twiga Stars of Tanzania on Friday night.

Abiodun was part of the Super Falcons’ squad to the WAFCON 2024 finals, while Monday failed to make the cut.

The Super Falcons will travel to Rabat, venue of their group stage matches on Friday.

Emmanuel was spotted at the Bauchi Elephants’ training this week.

Wikki Tourists are currently assessing the player before making a decision on his suitability for their squad.

The young goalkeeper was a backup to Abuchi Okeke at Kano Pillars last season.

A move to Wikki Tourists will give the goalkeeper a chance to show his full potential.

Wikki Tourists are looking to strengthen their squad as they push for an immediate return to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

They were relegated to the Nigeria National League (NNL) last season.

Chelsea are close to agreeing a deal with Crystal Palace to sign Maxence Lacroix.

The two Premier League clubs have been locked in negotiations over a permanent transfer for the France defender.

Sky Sports News reports that Palace want more than the £55m fee that Tottenham paid for Jan Paul van Hecke from Brighton to sanction Lacroix’s sale.

Palace and Chelsea have done deals for players such as Trevoh Chalobah and Ben Chilwell in the past.

The Blues are in the market for a centre-back and ideally any new arrival would be physically imposing and bring Premier League experience.

Chelsea are able to make signings as they have raised around £130m from sales in this window.

Chelsea on Thursday announced the signing of Harrison Bettoni from Wigan Athletic.

Bettoni signed a contract with the Blues that will see him remain at Stamford Bridge until 2030.

The 18-year-old made 27 appearances for Wigan’s senior team during the 2025/26 campaign.

He made his senior debut in last season’s EFL Trophy, before a memorable first League One appearance against Wimbledon.

Bettoni will now hope to get regular playing game time under Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso this season.

Chelsea are the favourites to sign Kerim Alajbegovic from Bayer Leverkusen, according to The Telegraph.

The 18-year-old attacking midfielder is said to be priced at £30 million.

Alajbegovic featured for Bosnia-Herzegovina at the just-concluded World Cup.

The teenager scored against Qatar last month during the group stages.

In total, Alajbegovic started in three of their games, including the last-32 defeat to co-hosts United States of America.

Chelsea are reportedly the most likely to land the deal amid interest from Juventus.

New Arsenal signing, Christos Tzolis’ jersey number has been revealed after he joined the Premier League champions.

Arsenal on Thursday announced the signing of the 24-year-old forward from Club Brugge.

Tzolis made 108 appearances in all competitions for Club Brugge, scoring 43 goals and assisting 45 times.

He will wear the number 17 shirt at Arsenal this coming season.

The forward has already joined up with his new teammates at the Sobha Realty Training Centre for pre-season.

Speaking about Tzolis, Arsenal’s Sporting Director Andrea Berta said,  “We are delighted to have completed the signing of Christos Tzolis.”

Nigerian striker, Rafiu Durosinmi has linked up with Belgian giants KRC Genk from Italian club Pisa SC, DAILY POST reports.

Durosinmi, who is Genk’s second signing of the summer penned a four-year contract.

The 23-year-old arrived the Cegeka Arena after spending six months at Pisa.

The forward registered one goal, and one assist in 14 league appearances for Pisa.

Durosinmi, however enjoyed a more successful spell at Czech First Division club Viktoria Plzen before the move to Pisa.

He scored 35 goals, and provided 10 assists in 86 appearances across all competitions for Plzen.

Transfer: Chelsea suffer Alex Scott blow

Chelsea have had a £64 million bid for Bournemouth’s Alex Scott rejected.

According to BBC Sport, Bournemouth are demanding around £80m for the 22-year-old midfielder.

Scott is also attracting interest from Chelsea’s Premier League rivals Manchester United and Arsenal.

The English footballer has entered the final two years of his contract with the Cherries.

It’s yet to be seen if Chelsea will step up their bid for Scott before the summer transfer window closes.

Chelsea have already signed the likes of Morgan Rogers, Marco Palestra, Emmanuel Emegha, Geovany Quenda, and Valentin Barco for their manager, Xabi Alonso.
