The 2025/2026 Premier League season ended on Sunday, with Arsenal crowned as title winners at Selhurst Park.

Mikel Arteta’s men rounded off a historic campaign with a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace.

They finished seven points clear of Manchester City, who were defeated 2-1 by Aston Villa in Pep Guardiola’s final game in charge.

At the end of the campaign, there are several players and teams that were top in certain categories.

Arsenal on Sunday became the first team in Premier League history to neither concede a penalty nor receive a red card in a single campaign, according to OptaJoe.

This follows the conclusion of the 2025/26 Premier League season on Sunday evening.

Arsenal defeated Crystal Palace 2-1 in their final match of the Premier League campaign.

Two goals from Noni Madueke and Gabriel Jesus gave Mikel Arteta’s side the win against Palace at Selhurst Park.

The Gunners have already won the Premier League this term as they finished with 85 points from 38 games.

The Premier League North London club is seven points ahead of second-placed Manchester City.

Bayern Munich honorary president, Uli Hoeness, has claimed that Barcelona cannot afford to sign Harry Kane.

Hoeness has said he expects the 32-year-old to remain with the Bundesliga giants beyond this summer.

Kane netted a hat-trick as the Bavarians thrashed VfB Stuttgart 3-0 on Saturday to add the DFB-Pokal to their league title.

The England striker finished the season with 61 goals.

But with his contract running out in 2027, he has been linked with a possible move to Barça.

“Harry Kane is the best transfer we’ve ever made,” Hoeness told Das Erste.

“Bayern are a buying club not a selling club.”

When asked if he could definitely confirm Kane will stay, he added: “Yes, and Barcelona have no money anyway.”

Pep Guardiola and Mohamed Salah entered the history books following the conclusion of the 2025/26 Premier League season on Sunday.

Both men will leave Manchester City and Liverpool, respectively, after the Premier League campaign ended on Sunday evening.

Guardiola led Man City in his final game in charge of the club as they lost 2-1 against Aston Villa at Etihad.

However, according to OptaJoe, the match against Villa was Guardiola’s 593rd and final game at Manchester City, overtaking the Cityzens former manager Les McDowall for most games in charge of the Premier League giants in their history.

Similarly, Salah provided teammate Curtis Jones with an assist as Liverpool drew 1-1 with Brentford at Anfield on the final day of the Premier League.

Salah’s assist was his 93rd for Liverpool in the Premier League, surpassing Steven Gerrard’s 92 assists to become the outright most for the Reds in the competition.

The Egyptian international will now leave Liverpool for a new club as the Premier League season ended today.

Manchester United captain, Bruno Fernandes, has outrightly holds the record for the most assists in a single Premier League season.

Fernandes set the record as the Red Devils thrashed Brighton 3-0 on the final day of the campaign.

The midfielder’s corner-kick was headed in powerfully by Patrick Dorgu to open the scoring.

It was his 21st assist of the season.

And it means he has now surpassed the record of 20 set by Thierry Henry for Arsenal in 2002/03 and Kevin De Bruyne for Manchester City in 2019/20.

17 players are now in the Super Eagles camp for the Unity Cup in London, DAILY POST reports.

Goalkeeper Francis Uzoho, Chibuike Nwaiwu, and Rafiu Durosinmi are the latest arrivals in camp.

14 players arrived at the team’s camp on Saturday, as they gear up for their semi-final clash against the Warriors of Zimbabwe.

Éric Chelle’s side held their first training session at the Cray Valley FC, Middle Park Avenue, London on Saturday.

The team will have their second session at the same venue later tonight.

The Super Eagles will face Zimbabwe at the Valley, London on Tuesday.

Kano Pillars goalkeeper, Destiny Abuchi, is adamant that his team will secure a positive result in their matchday 38 clash against Plateau United.

The Sai Masu Gida needs at least a point to maintain their top-flight status.

Abuchi admitted that the encounter won’t be easy for both teams.

“I know the match won’t be easy but we are Pillars, and we are coming for the three points, “Abuchi told Inside Plateau sports.

“We are playing against a very good side and I am hopeful that we will scale through in the game.”

Super Eagles defender, Semi Ajayi, has expressed excitement following Hull City’s promotion to the Premier League, DAILY POST reports.

The Tigers confirmed their promotion to the Premier League after a hard-earned 1-0 victory over Middlesbrough in the final of the Sky Bet Championship playoff at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

Oli McBurnie netted the winning goal five minutes into added time.

Hull City are making a return to the English top-flight after nine years in the second tier.

Ajayi took to social media to celebrate the win.

“God is the greatest. We did it. Up the Tigers,” the former Rotherham United star wrote on his Instagram page.

Kano Pillars forward Ahmed Musa has said he expects a difficult duel when his side do battle with Plateau United in the final game of the season.

The Sai Masu Gida will meet Plateau United at the New Jos Stadium on Sunday (today).

Kano Pillars need at least a draw to guarantee their place in the top flight for next season.

Musa said that his dream is for both team’s to remain in the NPFL next season.

“Jos is my home, the game is going to be a very difficult because both teams need a point to stay in the league,” Musa told Inside Plateau sports.

“By God’s grace both teams will remain in the league as both Kano and Plateau is my home so let see how the game goes at the end of the duration.

“It is sad that the game will be played without fans so I urge the fans to pray for us so as for both team’s to remain in the league.”

Kun Khalifat FC defender Chikamso Amaefula says he is anticipating a tough tie against Wikki Tourists.

The Owerri-based club will lock horns with Wikki Tourists in their final match of the 2025-26 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, season.

The encounter is slated for the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri on Sunday (today).

Amaefula said the players will show improvement from their previous games. 

“We are taking good step to improve,” Amaefula told Kun Khalifat media.

“It will be a tough game as our supporters have showed that they believed in us.

“We need to give our all to get the maximum points.”

Kun Khalifat must win the encounter to maintain their top-flight status.
