EPL: Bruno Fernandes equals assist record as Man Utd beat Nottingham Forest

Manchester United captain, Bruno Fernandes, has equalled the Premier League record of 20 assists in a season.

Fernandes is now level with Kevin De Bruyne and Thierry Henry.

He hit the milestone, after laying across a pass that Bryan Mbeumo scored United’s third.

The win ensured that the Red Devils secured third place with a 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest.

Luke Shaw opened the scoring at Old Trafford, before Morato equalized with a simple header after the break.

Almost immediately, Matheus Cunha put United in front again, before Mbeumo’s goal.

Morgan Gibbs-White pulled one back for Forest, who have already secured safety in the topflight.

EPL: Martinelli told to leave club if Arsenal wins title

Former Arsenal defender, Mikael Silvestre, has suggested that forward Gabriel Martinelli should consider leaving the Gunners if manager Mikel Arteta guides the club to the Premier League title this season.

Silvestre explained that it would be a good time for the Brazilian international to leave Arteta’s side if the club ended up winning the English top-flight league.

Arteta’s side is in the driving seat to claim the Premier League as they just need to win their remaining two matches against Burnley and Crystal Palace.

“Gabriel Martinelli might be the Arsenal player who wants to trigger a transfer because of hame-time,” Silvestre was quoted by Metro UK as telling  Betpack.

“He wants to play and Leandro Trossard gets more game time than him.

“Leaving Arsenal after winning the Premier League would be good timing for him, maybe a good decision, but he needs to find the right place to go.”

Ronaldo refuses to collect runner-up medal after Al-Nassr lose Champions League final

Al Nassr forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, snubbed his runner-up medal after they lost to Gamba Osaka in the AFC Champions League Two final on Saturday night.

Deniz Hommet scored what proved to be the winner in the game played at Al-Awwal Park in Riyadh.

Ronaldo could be seen walking from the rest of the team towards the tunnel at full time.

The 41-year-old was nowhere to be found, as Al-Nassr head coach Jorge Jesus led his players to pick up their silver medals.

Ronaldo could still end the season with a trophy as Al-Nassr currently sit two points clear of Al-Hilal at the top of the Saudi Pro League.

They only need to defeat relegation-threatened Damac and they would be confirmed champions.

He also labelled Pep Guardiola’s side as the best team in Europe on current form.

“The only reason they won’t win the league this year is that they will run out of road. That old saying you don’t get beat, you just run out of time,” Cole said as quoted by Metro UK after Man City defeated Chelsea 1-0 in the DA Cup final.

“They are at the moment, you can’t argue they are the best side in Europe in terms of form. Chelsea were at it today, and they were just fending them off.
