Bayern Munich take final decision on signing Chelsea striker, Nicolas Jackson on permanent transfer

Bayern Munich have finally decided not to sign Chelsea striker, Nicolas Jackson on a permanent transfer at the end of the season.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Jackson will return to the Premier League west London club in June as Bayern are not triggering the €65m buy option clause in his loan deal.

As a result, Chelsea and Jackson’s camp will assess the player’s future with a possible new move in the summer.

Recall that Jackson had joined Bayern on a season-long loan deal from Chelsea last summer.

The Senegalese international was not in manager Enzo Maresca’s plans for the current season.

However, Jackson could end up playing for Chelsea next season when a new permanent manager is appointed.

Recall that Maresca had parted ways with the Bleus a few months ago, while his replacement, Liam Rosenior, was recently sacked.

EPL: I still believe – Shearer picks title winners after Arsenal beat Newcastle

Ex-Newcastle United striker, Alan Shearer, is still tipping Arsenal to win the Premier League title.

Shearer was speaking after the Gunners beat his former club 1-0 on Saturday.

Eberechi Eze scored the only goal of the match in the first half.

It was a tense affair at the Emirates, as Arsenal went three points clear of Manchester City, who has a game in hand.

But Shearer is still confident they will end up as champions this season.

He said: “I’m telling you, I still believe Arsenal can win this Premier League title, and anyone who thinks this race is over because of what happened at the Etihad is making a huge mistake.

“What impressed me the most is Arsenal themselves. Look at today against us (Newcastle United).

“Everyone doubted them, people were questioning their mentality, saying the pressure had gotten to them, but they responded exactly how title contenders should. The energy, the intensity, the hunger, it was all there. They didn’t let Newcastle settle for a second.

“That tells me everything I need to know. Mentally, they’re still right there.”
