The General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, DCLM, Pastor Williams Kumuyi will join other world leaders to witness the inauguration of the United States, US, President-elect, Donald Trump.

Trump would be inaugurated as the 47th president of US on January 20, 2025 at the Washington DC.

However, speaking, Kumuyi said the meeting is a reminder that faith transcends borders and United believers.

According to Kumuyi: “President Trump’s stand for the gospel is not without recognition, not just by American Christians, but all Christians globally.

“During his first term in office, President Trump hosted the first ever meeting of foreign ministers focused solely on international religious freedom and, in his campaign, he promised to support Christian values and priorities.

“This moment in history reminds us that faith transcends borders and unites believers worldwide.

“As we gather in Washington, D.C., the global church stands together in prayer and purpose, advocating for faith-based dialogue to shape policies that uphold religious liberty and foster the growth of Christianity worldwide.

“We cannot continue to do things in the same way and expect better results. We need to interact with the gatekeepers to further spread the gospel of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.”

In a similar vein, renowned Nigerian gospel singer, Nathaniel Bassey had announced his invitation to Trump’s presidential inauguration.

Any British military role in Ukraine worrisome – Russia

Russia on Friday said any placement of British military assets in Ukraine under a new 100-year partnership agreement between Kyiv and London would be of concern to Moscow.

Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, made this statement on Friday.

He talked about the possibility of Britain setting up military bases in Ukraine under the agreement announced on Thursday by Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, and British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer.

“Given that Britain is a NATO country, the advancement of its military infrastructure towards our borders is certainly a rather worrying element. In any case, it will be necessary to further analyse what will happen,” Peskov said.

DAILY POST recalls that Starmer, on Thursday, arrived in Ukraine to sign a security and trade pact with Kyiv in a public show of support for President Volodymyr Zelensky before Donald Trump returns to power in the United States.

At the meeting on Thursday in Kyiv, Zelenskiy said he had spoken to Starmer about Kyiv’s desire for Western peacekeeping troops to be deployed in Ukraine if the war with Russia ended.

Asked if Britain would contribute troops, Starmer said that he had discussed with Zelenskiy and other allies, adding that Britain would play its full part.

Peskov said Moscow also took a negative view of the prospect of British cooperation with Ukraine in the Sea of Azov, which he described as Russia’s internal sea.

DAILY POST reports that the Azov Sea is bordered by southwest Russia, parts of southern Ukraine that Russia has seized in the war, and the Crimean peninsula that Moscow annexed from Ukraine in 2014.
