Flying Eagles head coach Abdu Maikaba has said he is honoured with the opportunity to lead the team, DAILY POST reports.
Maikaba was named new head coach of the seven-time African champions two weeks ago.
The experienced tactician will lead the Flying Eagles at the 2025 WAFU B U-20 Championship in July.
He previously worked as an assistant coach in the Flying Eagles, and Nigeria’s U-17 side, Golden Eaglets.
Maikaba said it is a great opportunity to take charge of the team.
“I am deeply honored for this role as Head Coach of the Nigeria U-20 Flying Eagles,” Maikaba wrote on X.
“To lead this team is a massive responsibility and a privilege I do not take lightly. Nigeria’s football history is built on passion, grit, and talent.”
