Police pledge full security in Taraba during Easter celebrations

The Taraba State Police Command has reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding lives and property before, during, and after the Easter celebrations across the state.
In a statement issued on Saturday on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Morkwap Sabastina Dongshal, and signed by the acting Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Victor Mshelizah, the Command disclosed that comprehensive security arrangements have been put in place to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free festive period.
The statement noted that key measures include the deployment of personnel to churches, major highways, recreational centres, and other public locations across the state.
The Command’s leadership emphasised that these proactive steps are aimed at preventing crime and maintaining public order throughout the celebrations.
Residents were also urged to remain law-abiding and vigilant, while supporting security agencies with timely and credible information that could aid in crime prevention.
The Commissioner further encouraged citizens to embrace values such as peace, unity, tolerance, and selflessness, stressing that these virtues are essential for fostering harmony and societal progress.
While extending best wishes to Christians for a joyful and peaceful Easter, the Command reiterated its dedication to ensuring that Taraba State remains safe and secure for all residents.
