He advised all the APC candidates in the forthcoming council poll to go back to their various local governments and win for the ruling party.

The Governor said, ” We are not lazy in Kogi State. We are committed to earning our living by ourselves. But unfortunately, the enemies don’t want it. Kogi State is our state and we must be united. Politics, religion and ethnicity should not divide us.

“We must work for the development of our state come out on October 19th, and vote for APC. Our party believes in development and the people. I appeal to you to return APC by 100 percent. Our Candidates here are part of the reasons we can upgrade our salaries to 100 percent. They are part of the foundation, so we should elect them during the council polls.

“That is why when they are making noise, I don’t make noise. Noise-making is not part of the mandate given to me by our People. The mandate given to me is to build the welfare of my people and improve on the achievement of my predecessor Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello. He has laid a good foundation on which I should continue with it.

Governor Ododo, at the event, received the Lawmaker representing Ijumu/Kabba Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Salman Idris who recently defected to the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC from the Africa Democratic Congress, ADC in Kogi State.

DAILY POST gathered that the Federal lawmaker was received by Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo alongside thousands of his supporters who defected from his former party to APC.

” APC is a symbol of unity and strength. This will serve as a pointer to those who do not mean well for our state that APC is working and receiving personalities who mean well for our people. APC is a moving train and is a party that means development. We don’t make noise but our actions will impact positively in the lives of our people. The coming of Salman Idris will add value to our great Party. Ododo added.
