The Catholic Archdiocese of Kaduna has announced that Rev. Fr. Bobbo Paschal has been safely released after being kidnapped in November 2025.
The Chancellor of the Archdiocese, Rev. Fr. Christian Okewu Emmanuel, said the priest regained his freedom on January 17 after spending two months in the hands of his captors.
Rev. Fr. Paschal was abducted from his home in Kushe Gugdu on November 17, 2025, by armed men, an incident that caused fear among the Catholic community and residents of Kaduna State.
The Archdiocese thanked the security agencies for their efforts in securing the priest’s release. It also expressed gratitude to Nigerians who offered prayers, support, and encouragement during the difficult period.
“The safe return of Rev. Fr. Paschal shows the power of prayer and working together,” the Chancellor said.
The Archbishop of Kaduna, Most Rev. Matthew Man-Oso Ndagoso, encouraged the faithful to remain steadfast in their faith and to continue praying for those still held in captivity across Nigeria.
