Nigerian rapper, Jesse Garba Abaga, professionally known as Jesse Jagz, has engaged in public conflict with colleague, Davido.

The disagreement started on X when Davido on Wednesday wrote “I go use Amapiano yenk you.”

“We don tire”, Jagz noted under the comment section.

Davido who was angered with the comment, alleged that Jagz’s statement was influenced by drugs, stating that he can buy Jagz entire life.

“Stop taking drugs, I will buy your life. You got an od to worry about, u better don’t add what’s not good.”

Reacting, Jagz warned Davido for disrespecting him, and insisted that no amount of money or influence can buy life.

“Everyone know who d best is. You cannot buy life little bro, be respectful.”

In deleted posts, the rapper referred to the ‘I’m unavailable’ crooner as a “wack”.

Nigerian Afrobeats singer Ayra Starr has opened up about life in New York, weeks after she relocated from Lagos to the American city following a management deal with Roc Nation.

In a new Substack post titled ‘I’m not scared, I promise,’ Starr got candid about loneliness and cold in New York, describing her apartment as “almost-empty” and the city as “a walk-in freezer.”

The singer revealed that sometimes she struggles with the regret of relocating.

“It’s so cold it feels like the city is actively trying to unalive my motivation. It’s the kind of cold that makes you realize happiness was just a summer hallucination, and I can’t stop the tiny voice at the back of my mind sarcastically saying, ‘Who sent you work?’”

Ayra Starr added that she would have been enjoying Detty December with her fellow citizens in Nigeria but she is stuck in the cold and loneliness of New York because she took a rebellious risk.

The ‘Rush’ crooner said she is now in her “nobody gets me era,” stressing that she no longer cares about proving herself to others.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has warned celebrities, social media influencers and content creators to stop using public roads to make online content, saying the practice is dangerous and illegal.

The Corps Marshal, Mallam Shehu Mohammed, raised the alarm after a video went viral showing a popular TikTok, Peller, live-streaming while driving which led to a road crash.

Mohammed said using a phone to record, stream or create content while driving distracts drivers and puts the lives of passengers and other road users at serious risk. He stressed that such behaviour is a clear violation of traffic laws.

He directed the Lagos state sector commander to begin legal action against anyone involved in reckless driving, phone use while driving or any form of distracted driving, in line with existing laws.

The FRSC boss also called on actors’ guilds, entertainment groups and influencer communities to educate their members on safe and responsible driving.

“Celebrities and influencers have a strong influence on young people and should promote safety, not dangerous behaviour,” he said.

Mohammed warned that the FRSC would enforce the law against anyone found breaking traffic rules, regardless of their social status. He added that no social media trend or online popularity is worth a human life.

He reminded Nigerians that roads are not filming locations but shared public spaces meant to protect lives. He also urged citizens to report dangerous driving.
