The net worth of Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man and President of Dangote Group, has climbed to $30.2 billion, according to a report by the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

Bloomberg latest data placed Dangote as the 75th richest person in the world.

Dangote has the majority share in the largest cement producer in sub-Saharan Africa, Dangote Cement Plc, listed in the Nigerian Exchange Limited.

Also, he owns Dangote Refinery, Africa’s biggest oil refining complex.

Dangote Oil Refinery, which was commissioned on May 22, 2023, is valued at $20 billion and remains his most valuable asset. Dangote owns a 92.3 per cent stake in the refinery, while the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, owns 7.3 per cent.

The Ibeju-Lekki-based plant is the key propeller to the recent rise in Dangote’s net worth.
