The United Kingdom High Commissioner to Ghana, Zita Benson, has reaffirmed the High Commission’s commitment to building stronger partnerships with the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) and other key stakeholder institutions in the agricultural value chain.
This assurance was made during a meeting held on 11 November 2025 with the Second Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Mrs Matilda Asante-Asiedu, and the Managing Director of the Ghana Cocoa Marketing Company, Mr Wisdom Kofi Dogbey, who both serve on the COCOBOD Board.

The discussions centred on deepening collaboration to promote value addition in Ghana’s cocoa sector and create broader opportunities in agribusiness.
High Commissioner Benson emphasised the importance of sustainable partnerships that drive growth, innovation, and competitiveness within the sector, highlighting the UK’s continued support for Ghana’s efforts to enhance its position in the global cocoa industry.
