UCL: ’10-0, they will be clinical’ – Stephen Warnock predicts PSG vs Liverpool

Former Liverpool defender, Stephen Warnock, has predicted Paris Saint-Germain to thrash Liverpool 10-0 if the Reds play as poorly as they did in their latest Premier League defeat at Brighton on Saturday.
Warnock said Paris Saint-Germain will be clinical against Arne Slot’s side when both teams clash in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final stage next month.
He was speaking while reacting to Liverpool’s Premier League 2-1 defeat to Brighton at the weekend.
“If Liverpool go and play like that in Paris, it could be 10-0,” Warnock said on BBC Radio 5 Live.
“That is how bad Liverpool were today. Brighton were not clinical and tried to walk it in, but PSG will be clinical. It is very, very worrying for Liverpool.”

Calvin Bassey scored his first Premier League goal of the season to help Fulham secure a 3-2 victory over Burnley at Turf Moor.

Bassey netted Fulham’s second goal of the match in the 31st minute, with Harry Wilson providing the assist.

The centre-back was in action for the full duration of the game.

His compatriot, Samuel Chukwueze, set up Wilson for Marco Silva’s side’s second goal in the 58th minute.

Chukwueze also played the entire 90 minutes.

Fulham’s other Nigerian import, Alex Iwobi, featured for 79 minutes.

NLO sets guidelines for new season registration

The Nationwide League One, NLO, has announced players registration guidelines ahead of the upcoming season.

The league body has urged clubs to remit a registration fee of ₦600,000 (six hundred thousand Naira) to its account in other to gain access to the NLO’s database.

The modalities is for clubs in the NLO Division One and the U-19 Youth League.

For the youth league clubs, submission of players’ primary school certificates is required.

The deadline for Division One club registration is set for Friday, 27 February, 2026.

The NLO board in collaboration with its Secretariat stated this on Tuesday.

According to the statement, the proactive move highlights the league body’s commitment to ensuring that preparations for the 2026 league are moving forward seamlessly.

The new season is set to kick-start on Friday, 10 April.

UCL: Micah Richards snubs Real Madrid, names two teams to win trophy

Former Manchester City defender, Micah Richards, has said Real Madrid are not favourites to win the Champions League this season.

Richards was reacting to Madrid’s 5-1 aggregate win over City in the last 16.

The LaLiga giants won 3-0 at the Bernabeu and 2-1 at the Etihad, thanks to a Vinicius Junior brace.

But Richards believes that Barcelona and Bayern Munich stand a better chance of winning the trophy.

He said: “Real Madrid winning the whole thing? Right now, I’d say no.

“The tie vs City, individual brilliance and Bernardo’s red won them the tie. Barcelona on their day could beat anyone. Bayern are also there.

“If I had to bet, I’d say no on Real Madrid winning because there’s better teams. Real Madrid have players for the biggest moments. That’s what the UCL is. Couple of seasons back they got past Chelsea, City, they weren’t playing well but they just got over the line.”
