Former Chelsea captain John Terry has named Cole Palmer as the best No. 10 in the world at present.

Chelsea returned to winning ways on Saturday, defeating Everton 2-0 at Stamford Bridge. Cole Palmer put the home side ahead in the 21st minute, slotting in Male Gusto’s through ball. Gusto then doubled the lead for the Blues before half-time, and that was enough to secure all three points for the west London side.

Terry praised Palmer, describing the England international as “the best No. 10 in world football.”

“I was also delighted to have Cole Palmer back in the team and playing in that No. 10 role,” he said on TikTok.

“I’m not sure there’s anyone better in world football playing in the No. 10 role. If there is, Palmer certainly gives them a run for their money.

“He’s so brave, constantly on the half-turn trying to get in those little pockets. It’s a defender’s nightmare when you come up against a player like that.”

The win took the Blues to fourth place in the Premier League table.

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has admitted that his team want to “win badly”, as they continue to lead the way in the Premier League title race.

The Gunners were to forced to ground out another narrow victory, as they beat Brighton 2-1 at the Emirates on Saturday.

Captain Martin Odegaard had opened the scoring in the first half with a low drive.

Arteta’s men doubled their lead immediately after the break, thanks to an own goal from Georginio Rutter.

But Brigton pulled one back through Diego Gomez and also most got an equalizer, but were denied by an excellent David Raya save.

When asked about the nervy atmosphere inside the stadium after Brighton’s goal back, Arteta said: “That’s a willingness to win! We all want to win so badly.

“Now I don’t want to lose what I have and we have to play to continue to score and show that composure and that ability and we should have scored the third one.

“We have two massive chances to put it to 3-1 and then it would have been different. We haven’t, so we have to suffer a little bit more.”

The result means Arsenal continue to maintain a two-point lead at the top over Manchester City.

Gallas also predicted that the Gunners will not win the UEFA Champions League this season as he also rate their chances of winning the FA Cup.

Arsenal are currently participating in the three competitions and will return to action against Southampton in the FA Cup quarter-final on Saturday evening.

They will also resume their Champions League campaign next week against Sporting CP in the quarter-final stage.

Mikel Arteta’s side will then face Bournemouth in the Premier League on April 11 after the Sporting game.

However, Gallas believes the Premier League will be the only title Arsenal will win this term.

“Champions League? I don’t think so. The FA Cup all depends on the result between Liverpool and Manchester City.

“If it’s Manchester City in the final, I think Manchester City will win. If it’s Liverpool vs Arsenal in the final, Arsenal will win. It’s a different style and I think Liverpool’s style suits Arsenal better.”
