Troops recover 84 livestock from cattle rustlers in Kaduna

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have recovered 84 livestock after foiling a cattle rustling attempt in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The development was reported in a post shared on X on Saturday by security analyst Zagazola Makama.

According to the post, the operation was conducted by troops of the 4 Division Demonstration Battalion deployed at the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Dumbi.

The troops acted on credible intelligence regarding ongoing cattle rustling activities at Pan Daudu settlement around 5:30 am on Friday.

Makama wrote, “Following the information, troops swiftly mobilised and laid ambush at a suspected crossing point between Lamban Zango and Monday Market in Igabi Local Government Area.

“The terrorists, upon sighting the troops’ position, fled in disarray, abandoning 84 rustled livestock.”

The recovered animals were subsequently returned to their rightful owners.
