President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday afternoon arrived in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, to attend the coronation of the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, Senator Rashidi Ladoja.

The Presidential jet touched down at the Ibadan Airport at about 1:45 p.m., where the President was warmly received by by Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, alongside other top government officials, traditional rulers, and members of the Olubadan-in-Council.

From the airport, the President’s convoy proceeded to the historic Mapo Hall, the venue of the coronation ceremony, where thousands of residents, political leaders, and well-wishers had already gathered to witness the historic event.

Senator Rashidi Ladoja, a former governor of Oyo State, ascended the throne following the passing of Oba Owolabi Olakulehin on July 7, 2025.
