The wife of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Uchechi Ukwu, has reacted to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory/’s, readiness to testify in the trial of the Biafra agitator if subpoenaed.
She said that is the process expected from the court.
Kanu had listed Nyesom Wike among other imminent Nigerians to testify as witnesses in his ongoing trial.
The IPOB leader is currently facing charges bordering on terrorism before Justice James Omotosho led Federal High Court in Abuja.
Wike had said he would testify as a witness in the ongoing terrorism related trial if he is subpoenaed by the court.
Speaking during his monthly media chat, Wike wondered why Kanu included him in the list of witnesses to testify in the trial.
He said: “If you see Nnamdi Kanu, you ask him why did he list me? I did not go to say I want to be a witness. So if you see him ask him why did you list Wike as one of your witnesses?”
Responding, Uchechi posted on X: “Of course. That is the process we expect from the court. #FreeNnamdiKanu.”
