The remains of Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP, Danlami Usman, popularly known as Dan Zuru, have been laid to rest in his hometown, Jambirmi, Zuru Local Government Area of Kebbi State.

Daily Post recalls that ASP Usman was among the security operatives killed in a fierce ambush on September 19, at Agu Centre, Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue State. The attack was carried out by a combined force of suspected herdsmen, bandits, and hired militias.

The late officer, aged 53, served with the Mobile Police Unit at Adeke, Makurdi, before his death. He was buried on Saturday morning in Zuru, Kebbi State, with family members, colleagues, and security officers in attendance.

Mourners described ASP Usman as a gallant officer who died in active service, showing courage and loyalty to the nation until his last breath.
