Fisayo Dele-Bashiru may not be available for Lazio’s Serie A clash against Fiorentina, DAILY POST reports.
Dele-Bashiru has missed training in the build-up to the game due to muscle fatigue raising concerns over his availability.
According to La Lazio, Siamo Noi, the midfielder could be included in the squad but there remains uncertainty over whether he was would he able to play a part in the game.
The Nigeria international has featured regularly in midfield alongside Danilo Cataldi and Kenneth Taylor in recent games.
The 25-year-old has made 17 league appearances for La Biancolesti this season.
Lazio are unbeaten in their last four league games.

CAF President Motsepe insists Morocco will host WAFCON 2026

The Confederation of African Football, CAF, has confirmed Morocco as host of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

There were reports that Morocco will pull out from hosting the competition with South Africa on standby to step in.

CAF’s President, Patrice Motsepe, however, poured cold waters on the rumours during his interaction with the media in Dar es Salam, Tanzania on Friday.

Motsepe also confirmed that the date for the WAFCON 2026 finals remain unchanged.

Morocco also hosted the last two editions of the WAFCON.

The competition will run from 17 March to 3 April, 2026.

It will also serve as the qualifier for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The four semi-finalists will qualify for Brazil 2027.

NPFL: Ejiogu rallies Kun Khalifat fans in relegation battle

Kun Khalifat FC goalkeeper, Chijioke Ejiogu, has called for support from the club supporters ahead of their final rounds of matches in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, season.

Kun Khalifat FC are currently battling to avoid relegation in the NPFL.

The Owerri-based club occupy 18th position on the NPFL table with 32 points from 29 matches

Kun Khalifat FC have suffered only one defeat in their last five matches.

“Imolites came out this weekend and we felt their support, just want to say thank you for being there throughout the game,” Ejiogu told the club’s media.

“We want you to continue to support us throughout the season.”

Kun Khalifat FC will slug it out with Bendel Insurance in a matchday 30 fixture in Benin City this weekend.

Abakaliki FC head coach, Starplus Anistar, has demanded a positive reaction from his players in their next game against Osun United.

Anistar urged his players to go all out for the maximum points in the game.

Abakaliki FC will square up with Osun United at the Lanreleke Sports Stadium, Osogbo on Saturday.

“The game against Osun United is a battle and all you need to do is hardwork and positive reaction in the game,” Anistar stated in his address to the players on Friday.

“We are here to hunt for the maximum points.”

Abakaliki FC occupy second position in Conference B with 11 points, while Osun United are ninth with six points.
