The death toll in the latest violent attacks in Plateau State has climbed to 10, as more bodies were recovered from affected communities in Barkin Ladi and Riyom local government areas of the state.
Recall that Dorowa Babuje, a community in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State was attacked by gunmen on Sunday night.
According to Vanguard, a community leader associated with the Berom Youth Moulders Association, Rwang Tengwong, said two more dead bodies of their members were recovered from Dorowa Babuje, while another person was shot dead in Jol in the Riyom local government council.
The community leader stated that the attack occurred at about 7:27 pm and left three others seriously injured, adding that the injured victims are still recovering in the hospital.
At the time of filing this report, the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Alfred Alabo, could not be reached for further updates as efforts to reach him were not successful.
