PHOTOS: How Kogi Central Residents React As Yahaya Bello Storm Hometown

Kogi Central Senatorial District was vibrant on Monday as residents gathered in large numbers to welcome former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, accompanied by the incumbent governor, Usman Ododo, into their community.

According to Channels Television, residents had begun assembling along the roads in Okene as early as 8 a.m. on Monday to catch a glimpse of the former governor.

Men, women, and children waved and sang in their native language to greet him following the fulfilment of his bail conditions.

The former governor’s journey from Lokoja to his hometown of Okene took several hours before he reached the palace of the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, where a large crowd awaited his arrival.

Speaking to the audience in his native dialect at the palace of the paramount ruler in Okene, the former governor urged the community to pray for their leaders to succeed in their duties consistently.

He expressed confidence that the current administration under Ododo would provide greater benefits of democracy to all regions of the state.

He emphasized the importance of unity among the various ethnic groups within the state to enable Ododo’s administration to deliver the expected benefits of democracy to the populace.

He encouraged his constituents to reject all forms of social vices and to pray earnestly for the success of President Tinubu’s administration.

Additionally, he called for the support and prayers of all Nigerians for Tinubu to successfully implement his commendable plans and programs for the nation, asserting that the policies of the current administration would undoubtedly advance the country.
