The atmosphere in Aladja in Udu Local Government Area is currently tense as the rivalry between the Aiyes Confraternity and Vikings Confraternity claimed one Saturday night after two were shot.
The Aiyes boys were said to have attacked and shot one Israel Igho aka BTC who is believed to be a member of the Vikings Confraternity.
One Moses Lucky who is not a member of any of the cult groups was shot by suspected members of the two cult groups.
In an emergency meeting of the Aladja Community Council and a cross section of members of the community,the President-General of the Union of Udu Communities,Evang. Andrew Dokie,who visited Aladja Community enjoined leaders of the Community to be up and bold in apprehending the members of the cult groups.
After the meeting, the community agreed that enough is enough with the activities of these cult groups.
Town crier went round the town to announce that henceforth any one involved in cult activities in Aladja Community would be dealt with legally.
The President of Aladja Community Council, Dr Lafua Richard, advised parents to caution all their children and wards to repent or leave the community. Otherwise, whatever they see they should manage it.
