Human rights activist, Dele Farotimi, has described elder statesman, Olu Falae as the leader of President Bola Tinubu’s version of Afenifere, the Yoruba sociopolitical organization.

Farotimi said Afenifere does not have factions, adding that Falae has no association with Afenifere.

He was reacting to a remark by Tinubu’s spokesman, Sunday Dare, that Falae scored the President’s economic reforms high.

Dare posted on X: “TINUBUNOMICS. Former SGF, former Presidential Aspirant and one of the leaders of Afenifere, Chief Olu Falae has scored President TINUBU’S reforms very high describing the reforms as bold and timely ⁦@officialABAT⁩ ⁦@OfficialAPCNg⁩.”

Reacting, Farotimi posted on X: “Let it be noted that the Olu of Ilu-Abo has no association with Afenifere, and let it be further noted that Afenifere does not have any FACTIONS.

“Oba Olu Falae is the putative leader of the Tinubu VERSION of Afenifere, much in the style of his rented bishops and electoral Oros.”
