The Acting Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Godwin Kudzo Tameklo, continued his nationwide familiarisation tour with a visit to the Eastern Region on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.
As part of his visit, Mr Tameklo, engaged in discussions with the Eastern Regional Security Council (REGSEC), chaired by the Regional Minister, Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey.
The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between the NPA and key security agencies to enhance regulatory enforcement and tackle fuel-related infractions in the region.
Addressing the council, Mr Tameklo, underscored the crucial role of security agencies in combating illicit fuel activities.
He acknowledged their support in ensuring compliance with industry regulations and maintaining the integrity of petroleum operations across the region.
Following his engagement with REGSEC, the NPA boss, proceeded to the Authority’s regional office, where he interacted with staff. He commended them for their dedication and reiterated his commitment to improving working conditions and operational efficiency within the Authority.
Mr Tameklo’s tour forms part of a broader initiative to engage stakeholders across the country and assess the challenges facing the petroleum downstream sector.
