Nigeria National League, NNL, outfit Rovers FC were involved in a road accident near Asaba on Tuesday, DAILY POST reports.
The Calabar club were travelling to Lagos for a rescheduled NNL fixture against Sporting Lagos.
The encounter is scheduled for the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos on Wednesday.
According to the club, several players, officials and staff were injured in the accident.
They are already receiving treatment at a hospital.
The management said the welfare of the players remains their top priority during this difficult time.
