The order by President Bola Tinubu for the Nigerian military top brass to relocate to Sokoto State in a bid to flush out bandits and terrorists in the North West has yielded unprecedented results as bandit leaders are reportedly being eliminated by their dozens.

The latest to be taken out, according to security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, were top bandit kingpins known as Sani Black and Kachalla Makore, who operated in Zamfara State and were close allies of Bello Turji.

In a post on X on Wednesday, Makama said the duo met their waterloo during a fierce battle with security forces on Tuesday.

“In another major break through in the Northwest of Zamfara by Nigerian security forces, notorious bandit leaders, Sani Black and Kachalla Makore has been killed along with several of their fighters,” Makama wrote.

“The operation took place along the Kwankele road in the Magami area of Gusau Local Government Area on Tuesday, September 24 2024.

“Kachalla Makore and his men were reportedly en route to recover the body of fellow bandit leader Kachalla Sani Black, who had been killed earlier in the Dan Sadau area of Maru Local Government Area. Sani Black was neutralized in Magama Mai Rake, another notorious hotspot for bandit activity.

“Kachalla Makore rose to power after the death of his predecessor, Kachalla Damuna, and was known for his criminal operations around Kangon Garacci village in the Dan Gulbi area, also within Maru Local Government Area.

“This victory by security forces comes as part of ongoing efforts to eliminate top bandit leaders as well as curb banditry and violent crime in the North West. They were close allies of Bello Turji.”

The security expert also gave a list of bandit leaders who have been killed since the order was given by President Tinubu.

“Below are the number of top high profile bandits that were barbecued by the Nigerian forces recently:

“Kachalla Ali Kawaje, the mastermind behind the abduction of students from FUG,in Gusau, Kacalla Ɗan Baleri, Kacalla Dogo Kwaɗɗi, Lawalli Dodo, Kacalla Naguru, Kacalla Ɗan-Babirki, Kacalla Hana-Zuwa, Kacalla Adamu and the most recently was Kachallah Buzu aka Sububu.
