The National Identification Authority (NIA) will commence the issuance and collection of Ghana Cards for registered children aged 6 to 14, starting Monday, 6th October 2025.
The exercise will begin in 56 designated districts nationwide, with the remaining districts to follow shortly. Card collection will occur at the original registration points, primarily the schools where the children were enrolled.
To collect the card, each child must be physically present and accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who must present the original Form A or receipt issued during registration.
The NIA has confirmed that all backlogs of unprinted cards have been cleared, assuring the public of a “smooth and efficient” process. Details on resuming new registrations for this age group will be announced later.
The first batch of districts includes Ahafo Ano North (Ashanti), Dormaa Central (Bono), Accra Metro (Greater Accra), Bolga Municipal (Upper East), and Sefwi Akontombra (Western North), among others across all 16 regions.
