Motorists warned of temporary closure of Anyinam bypass on Accra-Kumasi road

The Ghana Highway Authority (GHA) has announced a temporary closure of the Anyinam bypass on the Accra-Kumasi road to allow for the relocation of a transmission tower by GRIDCo.

The closure will take effect from Sunday, 5 October to Tuesday, 14 October 2025.

In a statement dated Sunday, 5 October 2025, and issued by the Public Affairs Division of the GHA, the Authority advised the public and motorists to stay off the Anyinam bypass for their safety during the exercise.

The GHA further assured the public that the Ghana Police Service will be present to assist with traffic management and ensure public safety throughout the period.

The Authority also appealed to the public to cooperate as it works to ensure safety and efficient travel along the Accra-Kumasi corridor.
