Military High Command commiserates with family of late Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings

The Military High Command, led by the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General William Agyapong, has paid a visit to the residence of the late former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, to commiserate with her family following her passing.

The delegation, which included senior officers of the Ghana Armed Forces, was received by members of the Rawlings family.

Speaking on behalf of the CDS, the Chief of Staff at the General Headquarters, Air Vice Marshal Mensah-Larkai, conveyed the condolences of the Ghana Armed Forces to the bereaved family. He described the late Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings as an influential figure who made significant contributions to Ghana’s socio-political development and women’s empowerment.

Air Vice Marshal Mensah-Larkai also assured the family that the Ghana Armed Forces would collaborate with the state to ensure a befitting burial for the late former First Lady in honour of her distinguished service to the nation.

Dr Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, Member of Parliament for Klottey Korle and daughter of the late former First Lady, expressed the family’s appreciation to the Military High Command for the visit and their show of solidarity during their period of mourning.
