President John Dramani Mahama marked his 67th birthday on Saturday with compassionate gestures, spending the day visiting children’s wards at two health facilities in Accra to spread joy and support young patients and their families.

Accompanied by his wife and children, the President visited the LEKMA Hospital and the Maamobi Polyclinic, where he donated assorted items and cash to children receiving treatment, as well as to their parents.

The unexpected birthday outreach brought smiles to the faces of many families, who expressed deep gratitude for the President’s warmth and generosity.

At LEKMA Hospital, President Mahama facilitated the referral of a young girl to the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) for further specialised care, ensuring she received the attention her condition required.
He also commended the medical staff for their dedication and presented them with monetary gifts in appreciation of their service to the nation.

Staff at both facilities expressed profound appreciation to the President for recognising their efforts and choosing to spend his birthday among them and the patients under their care.
