Maggi Waakye Summit returns to Accra this December

Food lovers in Accra are in for a festive treat as the much-anticipated Maggi Waakye Summit makes a grand return on Boxing Day, 26 December 2025, at the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park.

The food festival, widely regarded as one of Ghana’s biggest culinary events, brings together food vendors, families, and fun seekers to celebrate Ghana’s beloved delicacy — waakye — in a lively atmosphere of music, games, and entertainment.

This year’s edition will run from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., offering patrons a full day of great food, drinks, and cultural experiences.

The event, which did not take place last year, is expected to feature some of Accra’s most popular waakye vendors, alongside new culinary talents showcasing creative twists on the traditional dish.

The Maggi Waakye Summit aims to promote local cuisine, support small food businesses, and strengthen Ghana’s food culture through shared experiences.

Patrons are encouraged to plan their day with friends and family and purchase tickets in advance via the event’s official website at Maggi Waakye Summit. The organisers can also be reached through their social media handles on Facebook, X (Twitter), TikTok, and Instagram.
