Ligue 1: Moffi demands termination of contract with French club 

The Nigeria National League, NNL, has rescheduled two matches in Matchday Day Seven of Conference A and B.

The fixture between Stormers SC and Rovers FC, originally scheduled for Saturday, December 20, will now take place on Friday, December 19, 2025. The encounter will be held at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena, Abeokuta.

Meanwhile, the Matchday Six fixture between Smart City and Heartland, which had been put on hold, will now be played on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos.

All remaining matches in the groups will proceed according to the original schedule..

NNL announces new date for Week 6, 7 fixtures

Former Super Eagles captain, William Troost-Ekong has lauded the team’s performance in the win over Algeria.

The three-time champions breezed into the semi-finals following a dominant 2-0 victory over the Desert Foxes on Saturday.

Nigeria totally outplayed Vladimir Petković’s side in the game maintaining their unbeaten streak in the competition.

They have also kept clean sheet in their last two games.

Troost-Ekong, who announced his retirement from international football on the eve of the competition, is rooting for the Super Eagles to win the title.

“Top performance from the whole team! Best I’ve seen the boys play and growing game by game. Still my favourites to win,” he said.

Remo Stars head coach, Sulaiman Folarin, says they are determined to get their confidence back in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.

The Sky Blue Stars have struggled to replicate the form that helped them win the NPFL title last season.

Remo Stars have managed only one win from their last three league games.

They currently occupy ninth position on the NPFL table with 22 points.

Folarin said that the position is not befitting for a defending champion.

“This period what matters to us is to get our confidence back as the defending champion, that position isn’t where we belong,” Folarin told Remo Stars media.

“We want to continue to win games so our confidence can be restored, so that we can go back to where we belong on the league table.”
